which should i buy. they are too too confusing.

i only wanted one particular night but the 15 for 1 night ticket seems too good to miss even though we probably will only go once!

help

thank you please

I got mine before I went in 2009 but if i go again next year I wont bother. I also got the 14 day unlimited ticket but just didn't have time to do it again with all the other attractions on offer.

There is so much advertising in the parks about upgrading your ticket to stay for HHN and lots of little booths dotted round universal - you will have no problem. I also remember thinking the upgrade price was cheaper than the pre-payed price I got online on a 3rd party website.

:thumbsup2 hi its me again!! We are looking at going 13th October, well when i say we i mean dd and dbf!! They will buy the add on option which is $36.99 + tax and then the HHN express (basically front of the line) for $59.99 + tax. However when we came to book it the website was saying i couldn't book the add-on without buying a day ticket (obviously i have already bought these)....so i am going to phone on Monday when dd comes round . Last time they went the HHN Express allowed them into a holding pen (bit like sheep!!) and they were allowed into the houses i think 1 hour before the park re-opened at 6.30pm. All very complicated!! I tend to follow the threads on the Universal pages so that i can work out everythin:confused3

so can i just get an upgrade on my orlando felxticket for a night at hhn?

or am i wrong?

Yes you can but not on the website if you've already bought the flex. You can either phone Universal and see if they can add it for you or wait untill you get there (don't worry it's never sold out).

If you're in Universal that day then any HHN ticket will allow you to do Stay & Scream, just be sure to be in the park before 5pm. The main holding area is by Finnigans bar & grill. You'll be able to get two or three houses done before the crouds outside get let in.

houses? what houses? im scared already!

The houses aren't the type that you would like to live in!!! There are normally 3/4 and they are based on a theme...you have to walk through them...walk dont run!!! Seriously dont go in if you have a weak bladder...dd actually wet herself!!

When we went (2006) we bought the 1 night for 14 nights (whatever it was called at the time) although we only wanted to go on the 1 night it doesn't restrict you in case it's raining or you are too tired. Can't remember if i bought it before we got there now...don't think i did as nobody was selling a cheaper ticket. Also there are soooooo many haunted houses now you can't actually do it all in one night, so maybe a "front of line" extra might be worth it now. A tip though, avoid the weekend as all the locals go then and it was crazy busy. They also sell alcohol which they tell you to finish before entering a house, so saw a few people "downing" the drinks and getting a bit messy...we witnessed a girl fight! I don't think they should sell alcohol but that's just my opinion. And in the week alot less busy, fantastic atmosphere and mainly us tourists (not against the locals at all, but there were a lot of gangs of teenagers at the weekend and i felt a bit intimidated). i'm really envious, however, after being scared senseless after already doing 1995/2001 and 2006 HHN, I always say i'm too scared to do them again and in old age i'm getting more and more cholstraphobic (spell!). They show horror films as you are waiting in line which really gets you going before entering the houses :scared1: Have a great time. :cool1:...

One thing I would definitely suggest is that you get the Express Pass. We did this when we went and it made such a difference. The houses are so popular that you will be queueing for at least an hour - more like 2 - and when we went there were about 6 houses. There is no way we would have been able to get around them all and experience everything else that was on offer without the EP.
And just to clarify what the houses are. They are the big studio warehouses that are situated on the edge of the park that are transformed into walk through areas based on a theme. As an example the theme when we went was 'Ripped from the silver screen' and showcased famous horror movies (Dracula, Wolfman, Saw - that sort of thing) The Wolfman 'house' was actually a forest scene complete with fog, howling, leaves and sticks cracking in the distance, screams - it was brilliant.
I wouldnt hesitate to go back and will be planning our next trip for an October just to make sure it is on our itinerary.
If you are interested you can some pics from our trip to HHN HERE and HERE and see some of the characters we bumped into. No Mickey or Pluto here :scared1:

i dont know if im more excited or more scared now. at least im more organised too.

ill out wee dd16 i think.

Thanks for posting this question Lucylove because i was getting confused about the HHN tickets.?

Can i just clarify this, and a couple more questions please?

I will be able to use my orlando flexi ticket to upgrade to a Stay and Scream pass on the same day.

Do they ever limit the number of stay and scream passes sold - as i would hate to get there and they had run out.

Can you go to the park on one day and buy a stay and scream upgrade for the next day?

When i buy my flexi ticket will the ticket retailer sell me a HHN ticket at the same time?

Thanks Viv:confused:

you will be able to use your orlando flexi ticket to upgrade to a stay and scream pass on the same day

and i think they probably will limit the number of stay and scream passes due to park capacity

i think you would have to have a ticket to cover the day you are wanting to stay and scream. say you have a flexticket and it covers the full 14 days you will be in orlando then i assume you will be covered for stay and scream. someone correct me if im wrong please :)

When i buy my flexi ticket will the ticket retailer sell me a HHN ticket at the same time? im not sure about this at all as i bought my flexticket before i realised about stay and scream.

hope this helps a bit
