Hi, I recently read that the tickets will be on sale each day of the hayride for that day only at the Wilderness Kennel from 9-2pm and then across from Pioneer Hall at 3pm until they are sold out. First what are the chances of these selling out on Halloween night and second how do you get to the Wilderness Kennel? I am not staying on the campgrounds but at another Disney resort is there a way to get to the Kennel from other resorts?
I would really like to do this after the Hoop Dee Doo show. We are going to the 7:15 show so I'm thinking we could make any hayride after 8:45....Does anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks...

The kennel is located at the main parking lot at the entrance to FW over by the stables. Don't go in the entrance for check in for guests, go to the other entrance which has a sign for parking for guests for Hoop De Doo. The kennel is a ranch style building.

Thank you fort wilderness guy...but if I don't have a vehicle what is the best way to get there...by the boat from the MAgic Kingdom? If so where is the kennel once you walk down the dock? I'm going to have to go early in the morning before we go to any parks....so I would like the fastest way possible...We are staying at Beach Club Villas...so it isn't going to be easy....HELP!
Thanks...

The boat from MK will drop you off at the marina in the Settlement area, which is about as far from the kennel as you can get at FW. You would then have to take a bus from the Settlement depot to the Outpost depot, which is down near the kennels. Your best bet might be to wait for the tickets to go on sale at Pioneer Hall, which is in the Settlement area. Distance walking from the marina to the kennel is over a mile, so that might be a bit time consuming for you. Good luck!

Thanks very much....have you ever been there at this time? Do you think tickets woulld still be available at 3:00 pm when they go on sale at the settlement area? That is on Halloween night. I'm thinking that it will probubly be very popular on that night...but I've never been on it so I don't know....any input you have would be greatly appreciated...Thanks again.

what times are the haunted hayride on halloween night anyone know if it possible to do the haunted hayride and the campfire on the same night and fi so would you do the hayride before or after the campfire and also anyone know what movie is playing halloween night thanks daveb

as a ps i have one more question what time would the hayride start for you to see the electric water pageant while you are on the hayride thanks daveb

Looks like the movie on Halloween is the Legand of Sleepy Hollow and The Black Cauldron....I believe the times for the hayride are every 20 minutes.....times are from dusk till 10:00 PM. They allow 30 guests per wagon and and they seat approximately 300-350 each evening. Tickets are sold on a first come first serve basis.pirate:

you've been so helpful...I have one more question...If I wanted to go from the Wilderness kennel to the Animal kingdom how would I do that? and also how long does it take?
I'm thinking of going to the kennel for the haunted hayride tickets and then meeting up with my family at the animal kingdom...boy is this really inconvenient....:( Thank you so much for any info you may be able to provide.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Just got your message yesterday at the hospital and can't reply to boards until I get back to my office, which is today. Anyway, I am no expert on the bus system at FW or WDW, but I believe you will have to take an internal bus from the Outpost depot to the Settlement Depot, and then pick up a bus to Animal Kingdom there. How long it takes may depend on how long you have to wait for each bus. Sorry I couldn't help more, but maybe someone else on the board is more familiar with taking the busses. I usually drive our truck to AK and MGM, take the boat to MK and the boat/monorail combination to Epcot.::MickeyMo

Thank you. I appreciate the info you have given me so far.. I will try to see if anyone else can help with the bus system at Ft. Wilderness. Have a wonderful day.

The kennel is right beside the Outpost bus stop, and you can catch an AK bus there. They were running frequently when we were there.

To be sure to get the tickets for the Halloween hayride, I'd make the extra effort. Just hop the FW boat from the MK and get on an Outpost bus. Then hop the AK bus after you get the tickets. It's about a 15 minute ride. It will take a little while to do all this but that way you will be sure to get the tickets.

Thank you so much for your info. I will do it that way...I will miss the early part of the Animal Kingdom with my family but hopefully I can get ther by 10:00 AM for breakfast! :earsgirl:
I think it will be worth it to make the extra effort. Thanks again.
