Hey All,

I was not at Disneyland tonight (fighting a cold - booey!), but a few friends were. They said the new Halloween fireworks show was previewed tonight and it was amazing. I can't wait to see it!

Just thought I'd share,
Dreams

Disneyland closed at 6PM today, well before sunset.

There will be a test-run of the new show tomorrow night after Disneyland closes, but the show will, of course, be viewable from outside the park.

Not that I would have seen much, but I came "this" close to going on the Mattercam to see if there'd be fireworks at 9:25 pm =\ . Obviously I'm not up to date on the weeks hours.

Hope it gets leaked on YouTube, though I'm suppose to be there on the 25th . Oh the firework crowds :scared1:.

Sigh.

Not sure if you are saying that I or my friends are lying, but perhaps you wondered why the park closed at 6pm?

There was a private event at Disneyland last night. And (as I shared for others to get excited about) the new fireworks show was previewed. And according to friends who were there, it was amazing.

I'm very excited to hear about this so thank you for posting it! We're going next month and I've been eagerly awaiting some word on how it is. (I don't know why someone would post or possibly suggest that the fireworks didn't occur since they weren't there themselves???)

I think that, when posting about something that happened during a special event, it's good to really spell out that one (or one's friends) went to that special event, so confusion doesn't happen.

There was a special event last night, for the ASIS Convention.

But, even then, there were no fireworks at the event. There was a light technical rehearsal after the event, but the first actual dress rehearsal was not until today, at 9.25pm. Last night's testing was some lighting on the castle, the flying zero and some of the shells. Not the complete show, which was tested for the first time tonight.

We just arrived at DLR last night. We were in DTD and got to see the fireworks in between some trees and a building. They were actually the first fireworks that DD1 has ever seen, so that was very cool! I was thinking that maybe they were testing the fireworks for Friday's debut of the Halloween fireworks. I think they started around 9:35pm or so.

AIS i believe. There is suppose to be events all week long. i think they are trying to put it out of the way for Oct.

as far as what was seen on 9/21/09 i was in Downtown Disney and it sure seemed like a full show - my cousins watched from their 5th floor DLH room and the kids swore they saw something flying (zero). Just from what i could see it was awesome all the orange, green and purple was pretty. I am soo sad i will miss this season yet again.

I saw fireworks tonight between 9:45 and 10 I believe it was. We were at Disneyland during the day today, and when the park closed we headed to a restaurant about 10 minutes away on Harbor. When we left we were surprised to see fireworks, I'm assuming it was a test run, not necessarily a special event - DCA was also practicing their lights for their Halloween nights.

I would say I saw lots of Halloween type colors, and a smiley face :). There were a few pretty cool bursts, I'll be packed in with the crowds tomorrow night for the premiere - the crowds today were non-existent which was awesome! Except for the 90 degree weather - holey moley!

I'm about an hour and a half away from DL, and WOW, the heat was killer today, a whole week of calm/mildly warm weather and blam, heat...

I hope it isn't as hot as it was today when I go, I HATE the hot weather -.-
(A "big" man does not do well in hot weather.)

OK Dis experts :teacher: . . . . we'll be at Disneyland on Friday, Oct. 23 (so exciting!) but will be arriving in Anaheim on Thursday early evening. Can anyone suggest a good spot to be at around 9:30 pm Thursday night to "see" the fireworks from outside the park?
We'll see the show of course on Friday night from the hub area (and then fight the crowds to head over to get a spot for 10:30 Fantasmic). But I was thinking it would be fun to get a little preview on Thursday. We are staying at a hotel on Harbor near the main gates but will probably be over in Downtown Disney Thursday evening. Anyplace we could walk to see some of the fireworks show? Thanks, in advance, for your input. :flower3:

We're in for it again tomorrow according to weather.com, Disneyland is pretty miserable when it's crazy hot, but at least it seem like it will be a teenie weenie bit cooler. At least I won't need to lug around a sweater tomorrow  .
