No. They have NOTHING like the mickey thing. They have HHN which is not for kids under 16, plain and simple. You can take your kids, but it will be scary, as there are graphic and violent images, monsters, mayhem, chainsaws and blood.......oh yes, there is lots of blood.
If you want to see what the event is like check out http://halloweenhorrornights.com http://ioacentralradio.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=203781
It is not for kids, stick with mickey.
Sea World has a cute kids event.....plenty on that: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1479338
I feel sorry for the teens who come to Disney and have nothing "adult oriented" for Halloween. I would be very disappointed if I were a teen and knew that Disney only did MSSHP and HHN was up the road. Of course, not everyone is as twisted as I.
I love HHN. A must see for 16+ only. Go during the week if possible, wait times can exceed 90 min. on weekends. All houses were great last year but the directors was my favorite. It felt like I was in the actual house in the beginning of 'scream' where drew barrymore is making popcorn in her kitchen. I was distracted by her and the scream guy jumped out next to me. I was so scared.
Halloween Horror Nights is by far the best Halloween event in the whole country!! Unless you want to spend extra $$$ on express passes go as early in October as you can and avoid Fridays and Saturdays!!
