Halloween Dinner - Watcha making???

This year it will be pizza like every other year. The grandbabies come over and trick or treat for awhile and then we have some pizza and mac n cheese for them. This year, dh, dd and ds's will have pizza at the football game because it starts at 7.

I can't wait! This year I will get to see Cinderella, Lighting McQueen, Jack Sparrow and the littlest guy will be Tigger. Can't wait!

Trick or Treat around here except for one town that I know of is on Friday.

We are having Crescent Mummy Dogs before we go out (our ToT is 5:30-6:30).

I didn't know you were supposed to have dinner on Halloween. I thought that's what all the candy was for!

We don't have any dinner traditions. It's normally whatever I can whip up the fastest, since there's not much time between me getting home and having to leave for ToT.

Aw, all the little Disney trick or treaters!! My DS will be a pirate... my youngest DD is the Grim Reaper   and my oldest DD is in some costume her dad got her, suprisingly... a girl that starts with the letter H from Gwen Stefanis "Hollaback" video... I dunno... lol

Thought you meant TOWER OF TERROR for a minute..... lol

In the past when Halloween fell on a week night, we would just do fast food. This year with it being on Friday night, we had just planned on going out to eat after they get done.

The plus with that decision, I just got an e-mail from Texas Roadhouse that kids eat FREE Halloween night and the larger ranger kids meals are only 99 cents. Any guesses where we are going for dinner. Yee-Haw!!!

We always order in a pizza, since trick or treating starts at 6:00, there isn't much time to prepare, eat, clean up, and get into costumes before then.

We'll probably have Papa Murphy's as well. My brother-in-law and his family will be coming here around 4:30-5 to eat and then get out to ToT. It generally starts pretty early around here- plus it gets really cold the later it gets! It'll be close to 45 degrees by the time they are done, if not even colder! After the kids have a piece of candy or two, we go sit in the hot tub to warm up afterwards!

We're just getting pizza. Too hectic that night to do anything else. Plus, we leave for WDW at 2am on Saturday morning. I don't want any dishes to clean up!

We have had a tradition for several years, we order pizza. We eat around 5 pm, (I will work at home that day) get dressed and go trick or treating! When we return home, I let them have a couple pieces of candy. Then try to get them to bed, glad its on a Friday night this year! :cool1:

for many years we would order chineese food early and then a few years we went with pizza. we always celebrate with cake to because it is my husbands birthday........yep.......i pig out on the cake and candy. we finally switched to cupcakes cause it was to much for eveyone.

I'm going to DBF's parents house, they are having a party. But I am making Worms in Dirt.

We used to do a special halloween dinner every year when my kids were little. We'd do things like worm soup (tomato soup with spaghetti noodles), spaghetti and eyeballs (meatballs with a green olive slice baked into it to look like an eye), and monster toes (little smoky links wrapped in flour tortilla strips to look like bandages). I was a huge fan of FamilyFun magazine and they had great ideas every year.

This year, our dinner will be something from the concession stand as we watch our son march in his last home game of his senior year...:sad1:
They're marching in costumes so that should be fun!

Do you have something special that you make every year?

Our kids always ask for 'Octopus and Seaweed' :confused3

Here is an example of what that is: http://april-makingendsmeet.blogspot.com/2008/04/octopus-and-seaweed-recipe.html

What do you serve on Halloween?

butternut squash bisque, Meat loaf baked inside a pumpkin, twice baked potatos and green beans......mmmmm......meatloaf......

aaaaahhhrrrggh (drooling) (_8-(I)

and a whole stinkin' buncha halloween candy.......:thumbsup2

I love all of these fancy Halloween themed dinner ideas. I'm too lazy. Drawing mustaches and fangs on my kids' faces is just about all of the creativity I can handle in a day. We're getting pizza from whatever place has the best coupon deal, followed by snack sized Snickers bars. :lmao: Yum. :0)

I try to make something healthy on Halloween and then I name it something disgusting.

This year we're having Sea Slugs and Maggots with Steamed Brains on the side (shrimp and rice with a steamed whole head of cauliflower).

For breakfast DS has scrambled brains (scrambled eggs) and DD has monster eyeballs (deviled egg with a slice of green olive in the middle).

They have treats at the party at school and candy after TOT.

I've made those for the past couple of years and the kids like them. :thumbsup2

Yes! I've never heard of having it early!! :confused3 It's a Friday this year...

Here, too. But we did have trick or treating on Saturday downtown, where the kids got to go into the stores and trick or treat. It was fun! Tomorrow is the real thing, though.

We are having take out from a local italian place.
