Halloween Dinner - Watcha making???

Our kids always ask for 'Octopus and Seaweed'

What do you serve on Halloween?

We always have chili and homemade bread. I start the chili in the crockpot before we leave at 6:30 am and I come home on my break around 1:30pm and start the bread machine (that's as homemade as it gets around here!). We get home around 5pm and trick or treat starts at 6:30 pm.

What a great idea! We usually eat a fast meal as the trick-or-treaters start arriving at the supper hour.

We usually have PB&J cut in the shape of a Pumpkin, and pretzels. Then I make Green milk (food coloring) to drink.

We usually trick or treat then hit a fast food or restaurant for a later dinner afterwards

We always have pizza. Last couple of years we have been doing Papa Murphy's take-n-bake. It's great because I pick them up in the afternoon, preheat the oven and when we are finished trick-or-treating I pop them in , invite over some neighbors and its good eats. After pizza, the kids eat candy and the adults have a couple of beers.

yeah...thats weird..
Halloween is on a Friday...dont know why you couldnt trick or treat then. The only time I've ever seen them change the trick or treating day in my town was when it fell on a Sunday... and..being the south and all, I guess they figured if you can't buy beer on a Sunday, probably shouldnt' let little demons run around and be all 'unholy' and stuff

I don't know, because we're a bunch of weirdos up here in West Virginia?

I think they USUALLY do it different nights so they don't have everyone out at once. Not all the towns do it the same night- I think one town had it Monday night? From something ridiculous like 6-7.

The only place around here I know of that does it ON halloween is the mall- They have Mall-O-Ween!

Well. I was wrong. No one had it Monday, they're having it Tuesday and Thursday. I deleted the names of the towns, but there was a local town before each "-"

- Saturday, October 25th 6:30-8pm

- October 30th, 6-7:30pm

- October 28th, 5:30-6:30, Parade at 7:00pm

- October 25th 6:30-8pm

- October 30th 6-7:30pm

I always make "stacks"

Homemade chili and you "fry" (dunk corn tortillas in oil for a minute to get them crispy)

From there you make stacks....tortilla, chili, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, than another torilla, chilli, etc.
