Halloween dinner ideas

I have my parents, Dh and DS (5) for a halloween dinner. I want to serve something fun (and fast and easy) before the trick or treating starts.

Any ideas or traditions?

growing up...my brother and i always got boiled hotdogs w/ ketchup and chips for dinner.

we just keep eating the chocolate .. no point is spoiling a good chocolate day....

but if you insist on food... why not do a beefstew in the crock pot??

Or what about Chili? Although I have to agree with you about the chocolate.

Go to www.foodnetwork.com I saw so many shows last week about making Halloween dinners. 30 Minute Meals had at least two shows about it and I think a few others did as well. I slept through alot of it but I did see Rachel Ray's fake candy sushi which I thought was so cute.

Nice and simple and fast!!

Instead of hard shells try the soft flour ones..Heat a skillet with a dash of vegetable oil and flip the tortilla through long enough to heat and get a little crust. MMMMMM

our family tradition from my childhood is to have hot dogs and beans for dinner. sounds silly, but my mom said it was fast and we would be guaranteed to eat it, so we had something in our stomachs before loading up on candy. LOL! I continued the tradition even with dh before we had kids. just one of those things. oh, and pumpkin pie, gotta have pumpkin pie!

We usually make home-made chicken fajita pizza....it is soooo good!! It is pretty fast and easy.....let me know if you are interested!!
