Halloween Dining Packages are out!

We booked OBB dessert party, but worried that will take up precious party time. Bonus is that the desserts listed are all ones I can eat which seems crazy unusual.
Might just cancel that one though.
That’s a tough one. Personally because it is so easy to get a good parade spot with very little time commitment I wouldn’t give up event time for the dessert party.

That is the way I am leaning I wonder if there will be any reviews from the first few parties in September to see if it is worth it or not. We have one booked for the 19th.

I'm also a veg. I booked the magic happens parade package and they give you pasta with marina sauce. It wasn't very good. A much better deal if you eat meat.
Yes, and I don't care for red sauce. Being a not red meat eater with weird allergies and randomly picky is kind of a nightmare! Ha!

Can you see projections from Tomorrowland? What about Zero?
This is all so confusing and stressful. Why do they have these packages with terrible seating? WDW manages to offer decent seating with their packages!

What’s zero?

Thank you! Why would we be concerned about the ability to see zero? Projections are part of the fireworks show which is separate from this Halloween scream event? I’m visiting with 4 tiny children and was hoping to get a decent view of the fireworks show. Thinking plaza inn might be my best bet.

Zero flying is a draw to me, it might not be to you, but for me it is. The fireworks happen with Halloween Screams or right after or before, not sure, but they are connected if I understand correctly. During the week it is Halloween Screams without fireworks. Weekends have both.

Thank you very much for the info

Plaza Inn seating can be very hit and miss. There are more seats that have a very poor view than there are with good views, IMO. There were a lot of Youtube reviews of the seating last year. Many tables are blocked by the bushes (which are even taller now at almost a year from when those videos were taken). They preassign seats (at least last year they did), which means showing up early does not guarantee a decent view.

Example:

Some tables have a better view like below:
I thought I read somewhere that they trimmed those bushes back midway through the holiday season last year due to negative reviews?? That view is awful! Is staking out a spot in the hub the best option to see both Zero and the projections? We’ll have one night to see Halloween Screams, so I want the best chance for a great view, and willing to pay for it. I considered the Happiest Haunts tour, but I believe that viewing is by small world, which would mean you can’t see Zero, right?

I was the one who had said that they trimmed the hedge.

Going from the surroundings this video was taken from very much at the front towards the Tomorrowland side, which would have a worst view no matter if the hedge was cut down or not. I had no issue seeing Zero from my seat, and no issues with the projections either. And I am as short as Pooh sized comes.

Happiest Haunts Tour viewing is by Small World, so no chance to see Zero, correct.

If you wanna play 100 percent safe stake out your spot in front of the castle early.

Thanks so much. I’m short, too, so staking out a spot is not ideal as usually my view gets blocked at the last minute anyway. Do you know if I’d be permitted to stand at the back of the viewing area if we got assigned a terrible table at the Plaza?

They did allow people to stand at the back last year, I can't see it changing this year.

We got front row for fireworks once, but the stake out wasn't pretty. :rotfl2: They were doing some sneak preview of the Christmas ones which I rarely catch, a CM had hinted to us about it. My friend loves them, so I said okay, we'll camp out. We were there as soon as they set up the ropes. I don't regret the experience, but I am really not too keen for a repeat.

So skyline terrace reserved dining on Mon-Thur is $89 for just the food and a bad view of the Halloween scream projections?

Sorry, Im a newb. How do we know when the Halloween dining package is available? Is it only when fireworks are scheduled?
I just checked for each night of my trip to find out which had the best availability. It isn't just when fireworks are available because fireworks or not during the week, only weekends.

I'm getting so confused about all the different dining packages really confused on which one is the best option. I have two booked on Friday of our trip so it would be for fireworks and the holiday screams show. I have booked both Tomorrowland Terrace and the Plaza for a fireworks night. We've also booked the Holiday Haunt tour and Goofy's kitchen. We cannot possibly keep all these reservations, what would you all recommend? We will only be there for one night of fireworks which is when we have TT and Plaza reservations . Our tour is on a Holiday Screams only evening. Goofy's kitchen is on arrival day that one would be solely for pictures of characters in costumes. We also booked Oogie Boogie dessert party, but as fun as that looks I am leaning towards cancelling that one so we aren't wasting party time. We also booked Carthay Circle for mix in time that evening (4 pm)..
We could comfortably afford to keep two and Carthay Circle, all that we have reservations for are above and beyond ridiculous and since TT and Plaza are at the same.time one needs to go anyway. What to do?

Aren't you arriving before 9/21? Goofy's Kitchen Halloween starts on 9/21 so if your reservation is before that it will be the regular meal, not the Halloween meal.

If wanting either Plaza or TT, drop that TT for sure. It’s just an upper level firework viewing area with Materhorn as a backdrop. Nothing too special. For just watching fireworks, Black Spire Outpost is the spot. Plaza at least is just off center and at the show. Not too many trees from that angle to block sight lines. I’d give it a B+ location. Dessert Party, not a fan unless doing it for World of Color. Desserts aren’t wonderful, paying a lot for a seat as parade passes. Carthay is a nice pick! That tour shouldn’t be done for the viewing at It’s A Small World. Do it because you want the tour experience. Goofy’s Halloween brunch and dinner might be fun even with the price bump. I’m going to give that one a go this year. Made an early dinner reservation end of September. At least there is always plenty of food to enjoy!
