I think I am going to change my plans, and go for Halloween 2014. We would go the last few days of October, and the first five days of November. What are the crowd levels like? What about the weather? Could we still do the water parks? Thank you!!

Crowds are quite light at that time of year. Some find the MNSSHP's to be crowded, but I didn't think that even the sould out one was as bad as ahigh-atteendance day at MK. Check outthe crowd calendars at EasyWDW, but you'll probably find it mostly around a 4, which is very nice.

We always go in October. Crowds are wonderful, pretty light and it will feel extremely light if you follow some crowd calendars with recommended park days, those of course aren't always right on but from my experience it's worked out good but with the time frame your going you don't have much to worry about with crowds! The weather is just as wonderful 70-80s you might see some days of 85ish, all great weather and you can definitely swim. Nights can feel a bit chilly but nothing extensive, a long sleeve shirt could fix a "October chilly night". It's a great time to go, enjoy!

I have gone the past two years the weekend before Halloween to the first few days of November and find the crowds to be very manageable. I typically do two MNSSHP parties including Halloween night. They are way busier than the daytime crowds but I positively LOVE being in the MK for Halloween. It is still quite warm/hot during that time with temps up to upper 80s and even tipped 90 last year.

Crowds are not heavy. I don't want to say light because I don't know if crowds are ever light any more. Still, if you pick recommended parks it is a great time to go. You have MK with Halloween decorations and F&W at Epcot. Just don't do Epcot on a weekend.

Temps can vary, of course, but we have found them to be tapering off from the summer heat and especially humidity by the end of the month. We were at WDW when Hurricane Sandy hit the west coast and while it didn't hit Florida it did cause temperatures to be only in the 60's. Other years we have seen mid 80's. Last year was close to perfect with temps about 80 and rain just one day.
