Does anyone know of a store that has a wide selection of adult Halloween costumes? We are looking at changing our costumes for this year's MNSSHP rather than just wear last year's. We have a party depot (?) near to us but it doesn't have a huge selection so was wondering if anyone else had any suggestions.

Thanks.

Counting down the days til October.:p

It's near the theatre District but can't remember the name.

So, refresh my memory, what were you guys last year? Why not make something. You have plenty of time!LOL I know, I swear that the timer is broken!

Maaaaaaake something?:rotfl:

While I can knit, crochet, cross-stitch etc. sewing is not my strength. Lots of unfinished products although I have thought about it and you're right we do have time (unfortunately!!).

Last year I was a bobby soxer and Jim, well he wasn't very happy cause he was in a brown robe thing -- scary person?

I really just wanted to look at some ideas to see what we could put together.

I do know the store you mean but have never been in it. Will have to stop in I think. Thanks for reminding me about it.

See you Saturday.

It's in Kensington Market. It's called Excile. I had the business card in my hands this morning but of course it's been so busy here that I can't find it 'cause I've buried it one of the piles of paperwork!LOL

It's on the same street as the Cheese Place!

Malabar on McCaul St just North of Queen has a great selection of stuff to buy and ever better costumes to rent. Your rental rate included alterations. I've been going there year. They also have a big selection of dancewear (ballet, ect...)
I swear they have some of the best costumes I've ever seen.

Malabar might end up being a bit pricy - $150 per person for regular costumes. What about Ebay - I am trying to convince my sister and her friend to go on a mummies and babies trip and we were thinking of three (out of 101) baby dalmations!

Another place to try is the Hollywood Tickletrunk. They are located at 947 Matheson Blvd. E. in Mississauga. (I see you are in Thornhill but if you ever head to the west side.... it's worth it to visit)
Vicki is the owner and she is great. If she doesn't have what you are looking for she can make it for you. there is a website you can go to (very basic but it gives you phone numbers)
www.hollywoodtickletrunk.com

You can rent or buy the costumes and the prices are reasonable.

I plan on visiting the store closer to our trip to pick up the perfect costume.

Have fun.

I'll have to check that out ontariodisneywoman. Thanks for the info.

I don't know how many of you have been to the MNSSHP before but last year, the days & nights that I was there for were VERY hot. If you're going to dress up, remember the weather is in the high 80's in Oct.

I remember watching all those kids in amimal costumes & other Disney stuff walking around, crying because they were so hot.:( ,
you could definately tell who was from "the north" with the costumes they had on. It ain't your same-old cold, wet, Canadian Halloween  - Thank goodness::yes::
