Hi Everyone! My DH and I will be down on October 2nd for the MNSSHP and we are trying to think of what to be. My husband is 6'8 and sweats easily so I found a cute pirate outfit that seems light weight. Any other suggestions?! For me I want to be able to wear sneakers...I was thinking of being a doctor in scrubs would be good. Any other suggestions?! I want a light weight easy costume. THANKS in advance everyone!!! pirate: pirate: pirate:

We will be to MNSSHP on Oct 31st,

DD16 and her friend are going as dalmations, they will have black shorts and white t shirts that I took fabric paint to also white hats that I added spotted floppy ears and to top it off red dog collars :sunny:

We wanted some thing cool and not cumbersome to get on rides, they can ware their sneakers too.

Very easy costume :Pinkbounc

I think when you go to someplace like Disney, where you will be doing a lot of walking, sneakers are ALWAYS acceptible (yes, Cinderella, that means you too :) )

This one is easy. My husband is a doctor, and many doctors in scrubs DO wear sneakers or joggers. Find a toy stethoscope to hang around your neck, and maybe a surgical mask, and you'll look great.

We'll be at MNSSHP on 10-31. I'm going as Minnie and rather that buying the cute yellow Minnie shoes (that will kill my feet at the park) I am wearing sneakers and made yellow sneaker covers to help keep with the theme.

Funny you have said that! I am going as Cinderella (just got a really nice gown at my local good will store for only $9 :goodvibes ) and was planning on wearing my sneakers!! My gown will be long & you really can't see them. I already have her crown, all I need now are the long white gloves & am thinking maybe a white furry shawl so I am not cold at night. :goodvibes

ROTFL! I was just about to say the exact same thing. I'm going as Cinderella too and there is no way in heck I'm walking (ok, running around like the Disney-obsessed teen I am :earboy2: ) all night in a pair of heels... That would just be... ouch...

When planning our first MNSSHP, we went as adventurers. DH said he would only dress up if he could wear something comfortable, cool, and "not too silly." I purchased a safari shirt with lots of pockets for him and a safari vest for me plus two packable safari/adventurer hats with strings for under the chin. We then paired those with tan shorts, a white tee shirt for me, sneakers, and his brown "walking" shoes - all of which we already owned. It was easy, comfortable, and the CMs all told us to make sure we went on the Jungle Cruise!
