For those who've been to WDW for Halloween what did you wear?

Is Halloween a t-shirt or a sweatshirt kind of weather?

This will be our first Halloween in WDW and I don't know exactly what to expect.

Thanks in advance.

We've done MNSSHP twice. I did not dress in anything particular, although I have seen a lot of adults in costumes. Dd5 however, was Minnie Mouse this last time and Bear in The Big Blue House the first time. The Bear costume was an experience though, she was only 3 at the time and we ran out of pull-ups on that day. The headless horseman came by and as she will tell you he scared the pee out of her, so there we were the parade about to start and I had to strip her down and take off her shorts and put her costume back on until the parade ended and we could find something for her to wear. Not to mention it was a little warm for her in that costume. We are from Kentucky and it's usually cold here on Halloween that is why this past time we chose a costume that was not so big and heavy. I think when we do it again that I would at least like to have a halloween shirt or sweatshirt. We were there the first night at the beginning of Oct. and it was still pretty warm that night. I just had on a t-shirt and that was enough.

DS (5) was Buzz Lightyear. My cousin was a 50's girl, her daughter(12) the same, I was Minnie Mouse and my DH and my cousin's DH didn't dress up. It was really alot of fun!

We did MNSSHP on Halloween this past year. Being from the northeast we are used to cold (sometimes snowy) Halloween's.

DS (10) dressed as a solider. Long pants w/ a tee
DNeice & Cousin (16 mo & 5) both had Cinderella Dresses (no sweaters needed)
The remaining 8 adults were pirates.

This year it was very warm and humid at night. We were all a little "sweaty". A big change for us on Halloween.

We did MNSSHP in 2002. It was very warm and humid. DS was Sorceror Mickey and I was Maleficent. If I were to do it again, I would forego the costume (or plan a lighter one) and wear a festive t-shirt.

We've been the last 3 years for MNSSHP. It has always been perfect weather ranging from being warm to needing a light sweater in the late evening. It really is hit or miss whether it is t-shirt or sweatshirt weather. Even so we have never found it too hot or so cold you need a jacket. MY DD has dressed up for all the parties. I have dressed up for the last two. One time I was a doctor complete with scrubs and stethoscope. Last year my mom and I went as Mouseketeers which was really easy as all I did was iron our names onto shirts and by some Mickey ears.

I would say wear a t- shirt and bring the sweat shirt. I didn't need a sweatshirt at all but I am not the one to ask. I was 8 weeks pregnant and i had my hormones to keep me warm.:teeth:

I was there the night of the 19th..

I was a clown, Simple vest and skirt wig etc.
DD was Jesse (WAY TO HOT for the jeans and long sleeve blouse)
Grandma was a Home made Belle Costume. a 60 yr old woman dressed as a princess!
Aunt K. was Mrs Potts. Which she wore for about 1 hour and then it just go TOO HOT. so it sat ontop of the stroller
and
Neice was Sleeping Beauty, but was acting more like Malefencent!!

Cant wait to go again this year.. LOL

We did our first MNSSHP in October. We absolutely loved it. My DD-16 dressed up at Evil Queen and I was Pinocchio! I bought my costume off Ebay for $10 brand new. As I was sitting watching the parade, Gipetto came over and shook my hand. What a blast! We also had many people stop us and ask to take our pictures. Someone actually insisted I was the real thing! It took him sometime to believe that I wasn't and he wasn't a kid! I would definitely dress up again.

We have been lucky enough to go to the MNSSHP in both 2002 and 2003. Each year was very warm, and in 2002, the skies opened up while we were on Splash, and it flooded the MK, even the 2nd parade was cancelled (way too much candy from the CMs for DS, then 13). I had prepared a random fairy godmother costume for myself, but wore only the cape because it was so hot! DH had a t-shirt from Target that said "This is my costume," and DS refused anything special. In 2003 I wore a Halloween vest and Old Navy Halloween t-shirt, and DH again had a different Target t-shirt that even glowed in the dark. This worked out well for us.

We were there this past year and it was very warm. We went as hippies. Tie died our shirts as a summer family project. Wore them with jean shorts. Found some cheap peace sign necklaces and tatoos at the dollar store. We saw lots of families with easy theme ideas (50's, pirates, baseball players)

Have a great time!!
