:tink: DD9 wants to be Tinkerbell for Halloween, she will be having her makeup and hair done at Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique on the morning of MNSSHP - has anyone looked here then looked there and compared price and selection? I'm sure it is more expensive (no brainer) :rotfl: but is it worth the extra money to get a better selection. I have to be honest I haven't been to the Disney Store but I can't imagaine they will have no more than two options. We'll get lots of use this year - MNSSHP, Sea World Halloween Party - then at home :cheer2:

I would try and buy before you go. All the dresses that I saw at Disney were $50.00 US.
My son wanted to be Captain Hook, and I bought the outfit at the Disney Store for about $35.00. Also too, I would look at places like Walmart, they often will have something similar.

I too had the same question. My dd also will be going to BBB in dec., but she wants to to Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I have never seen that costume, but apparantly BBB has it. I may have to splurge out the extra $$$$.

I'd buy before you go. I seen the cutest Tink stuff in walmart complete with the shoes, if she is sized 6X and under. My mom made DD Jasmine costume and then we bought her the wig when we were down there. Good luck in your decision, maybe you could get her two for what you would pay in WDW. Sears had a cute costume too.

I go a Tink outfit at Winners for $16.99.... it's just a skirt, wings, wand, and head piece, but I'm going to put her in a green shirt and pants. You can't compare those prices to DIsney store :thumbsup2

Hey amw.

I couldn't resist but to say hi to a fellow Markham-mite!!

We bought a Tink outfit at Walmart in Orlando for MNSSHP for $22, pretty much same costume was $55 at Disney. It was a toddler size but larger sizes had about the same price differences.

That's funny since our "names" are so similar! :goodvibes

I was at the Markville Wal-mart today, and they have an assortment of princess outfits, including 2 different Tinks. There was a dress Tink for around $30, and the boxed up version for $25 (which is what I got at Winners for $16.99). They also had fairy slippers, and flower head bands. I would check it out this week since they were just unpacking, and that place gets wiped out by the weekends.

Also AIW... since you are in Markham... there's a brand-new Super Wal-Mart opening in Stouffville this month. I'm sure it'll be fully stocked when the doors open. (Hwy 48, south of Main)

Edit: re-read your post and realized you weren't looking for Tink  They had other dresses there too. You might luck out with ALice, but I'm not sure. All you need though is a simple blue dress, and a white apron, and a piece of black ribbon for her hair.

Also, remember in buying costumes that it is going to be HOT! We were going to get costumes for MNSSHP but then realized it would make us too hot to enjoy ourselves.

It isn't like here where you need to be able to wear your costume over your snowsuit. :rotfl:

In addition, I don't wear makeup in FL 'cause I find it too sweaty, smudgy, etc. Consider this before you send your daughter off to the boutique. :wizard:

Thanks amw. Did you hear about the new Giant Tiger opening this Sat? I think it's Markham Rd and 14th?? Somewhere in that are. Check the economist & sun for their ad. Maybe we'll find more costumes there??

Did think about the heat DS12 is going to be a World Cup Soccer Player :thumbsup2 can't beat that in ease of costume. You are right about BBB but that is one thing that is SO non negotiable for my princess:
