Halloween costume time...need ideas for DD

So, my DD7 (almost 8) likes to have unique costumes. In addition it has to be something fun, and nothing in the clothing that would bug her (no lacy, poofy dresses, etc). I'm trying to think of ideas for her. I came up with one which she actually sortof liked but no one would know who the heck she was. We just saw La Nouba and the girls who do the Diabolos...i said she could dress like them and we bought her a diabolo on vacation. Anyway, so does anyone have any unique, yet comfy costume ideas for her? I know its early but it'll take me a month just to help her find something so I figured I better start early.

There were some interesting (and relativelty easy looking) home made costumes in family fun magazine.
