Halloween Costume Ideas

Good Morning...

I think that DH and I have decided to go to a Halloween Party as tacky Disney tourists...all of our friends will love this because they think we are the biggest Disney freaks!!!

Anyway, I am looking for ideas on how to pull this off (since we are usually not the tacky type). Our neighbors are going to WDW next week and I am going to have them pick up some mouse ears for us so that will be our starting point. Any other ideas??? I was thinking of having DH wear a Hawaiian shirt, shorts, black socks, sandals, the whole tacky nine yards! I'm having more trouble with what I should wear.

Our teenage son did this last year. He was a "disney nerd".

I remember a few things since I was the one that practically "dressed him" ! LOL

A disney t-shirt tucked in.

Old man style shorts pulled way up with a belt for good measure.

Sandals WITH dark dress socks.

Went to the $ store and bought 3 different cheapo cameras. Hung them around his neck and criss-cross over his shoulders so he looked like he was always ready for that perfect photo-op.

spayer fan, slung over his shoulder too. Plus a britta water bottle for good measure.

Fanny pack (black vinyl- freebie from somewhere) decorated with disney stickers. we even packed it with stuff everyone always says they have in their fanny packs! bandaids, chapstick,We put a $ store "autograph" book in there and he asked people to sign it at the party.

Old park schedules and maps sticking out of all his pockets- all folded every which way.

a lanyard with an old room key in it.

His pin lanyard (although he told everyone they weren't really his- NOT!) lol

an old disney hat- although ears would be great!

We wiped his legs with a little water on a wet sponge and then rubbed copious amounts of cornstarch on his thighs.
put zinc on his nose and he wore a super dumb looking "sun-glasses" that we also bought at the $store.

Put lots of blush on his cheeks to look like sunburn.

He went around asking if anyone knew what time the 3 o'clock parade started!, asked people if they were "streetmousephere characters" and if so would there sign his autograph book, and inquired where he might find Snow white and ALL of the seven dwarfs because he needed their autographs to complete his lifelong collection!

The funny thing was, HE could have been a street-mousephere character!!!

The sad thing was- He looked like US when we really DO go to WDW!LOL

My huband and I did the TACKY TOURIST last Halloween. We had some outfits we bought from the PARTY CITY store. It had Khaki shorts, Hawaiin shirts, and we bought big sunglasses big hoop earrings for me. He wore sandels with black socks and a baseball hat. The outfit had a big blow up hoop in side the shorts so we were HUGE. Just accessorize with DISNEY items and your all set...

We are having a tacky tourist party the week before halloween, and I plan to wear one of my many Disney t-shirts with capri pants and stilletto heels. I love the idea of the autograph book, and the room key around the neck. I'll have to add those to my outfit.
