What stores have the best halloween candy deals? I am class mom for my daughter's class and we have collected $45 for candy for trunk or treat and we need about 800 pieces of candy. The problem is just glancing quickly Target had the 100 pieces of candy and they were 9.99, so I would only have 400 pieces of candy. Looking for the most bang for the buck, any ideas? O and looking for nut free items as well.

I was able to get an okay deal at Target yesterday with a coupon combo.... there was a coupon on coupons.com for three bags of snickers or M&Ms and Target had a store coupon for 2 bags of the same candy. I was able to use both coupons for three bags total. That might help a little. ..........P

I am assuming from the 100 pieces for $10 that you are looking at the snack size bars? I see "Jersey Shore" as your location, so will mention Shop Rite has the 100 piece hershey snack size bags for 8.88 through Saturday. Not much better but a little. That is actually a good price for that many as they are normally in 6 packs for $1 at dollar stores or 12 for 1.78 at Walmart. Does anyone belong to Bj's Sam's Club or Costco? They usually have big bags. Are you willing to go down to the miniature size bars? You would do better there I would guess. Also if you do go the minature route, or want to supplement the number of snack size bars you can afford, there are tubs of twizzlers with 180 individually wrapped sticks for like $8. I have also seen smaller size tubs at places like Target and Walmart. So maybe everyone could get a miniature and a twizzler stick?

Generally speaking, chocolate tends to cost more. Things like sweet tarts, etc can be more economical. Also, not every kid prefers chocolate. My niece and my son both like the sugary stuff better than the chocolate.

If you have HoBo (home discount supplies) stores near you the have the snack size bags for $1.99. I just price match thematic WalMart when I'm getting the rest of my groceries. Menards had candy on sake as well

Does it have to be candy? We give out glow bracelets you can get 50 for $5 at Michaels and then use a coupon for 40% or we had a 50% off.
