Halloween at WDW?

Will be in Tampa for work the week of Halloween. Thinking about hopping over and spending a long weekend at WDW for Halloween and Food&Wine.

Never been to either.

Anyone done WDW at Halloween or the party in general. Will feel a little dorky going by myself on halloween night but I will get over it. LOL (done a bunch of solo trips before)

Thanks for any insight or tips.

I have gone for Halloween season the past 5 years all solo. MNSSHP is awesome! The atmosphere, the music, the FIREWORKS make it the best hard ticket event. One year I went twice! I always go in costume and yes, I trick or treat! F&W is great as you can just graze as you walk and enjoy the food, drinks and great weather!

This year I am there 10 days with my boyfriend, and looking forward to it all over again!

Hmm. We will be there during Halloween this year too, and you've got me rethinking my decision to skip MNSSHP. Given the choice, would you go Halloween night or a less busy night earlier in the week?

I second this! Great weather, MNSSHP gives you the park to yourself with the best parade I've seen, and Food and Wine is just fun. I haven't been in fall since I worked there but I'd love to be a guest in the fall.

I finally got the opportunity to do both last October and I truly enjoyed both and cannot wait to go back to "the world" in the fall. Everyone has fun during MNSSHP. I dressed up as Jack Skellington and had a gay ole time, no pun intended. The parade is awesome, the candy aplenty, the fireworks great, and the wait time for most E-ticket rides was 15-20 minutes. I did NOT regret going to this event. However, the parties closer to Halloween night are always sold out and WAY more crowded. Food & Wine fest is also fun. I met up with friends during the afternoon and we ate and drank our way around each booth and found a sweet spot to watch Illuminations. I did future world during the morning and got the major rides out of the way so I could enjoy the festival the rest of the day. Something I found helpful was going to the festival center and purchasing a Disney gift card that is attached to a wrist lanyard and putting some money on it. That way as the day progressed and I had several drinks I didn't need to fumble with my wallet.

Basically, if you get the opportunity to do either or both, DO IT! You will enjoy these events. As for going alone, I have always found that I never have an issue spontaneously finding a kindred spirit at Disney to pass the time with even if for a little bit.
