We will be at wdw on Halloween this year. Can't afford MNSSHP. Some suggested the haunted carriage ride. So I was wondering if any of you all veteran wdw campers could answer a few questions.

The proposed plan would be.... MK til about 7pm on Halloween. Then take a boat ride over to FW. Grab some quick food somewhere, then have reservations for the haunted carriage ride ( I understand I Need to make reservations on may 4 at 7am to get a spot).

Then maybe sit on beach and watch firework and water parade. Then head back to our car at MK. We are staying at Windsor Hills.

Questions.....
Can we get back to our car at midnight when parade is over? How would we manage that? Boat, bus, monorail?

Would it be better to drive to FW for the haunted ride? Wil they let us park if we have reservations?

How crazy busy will it be there at FW on Halloween? Will we even find a place on the beach to watch fireworks? I've never been to FW so I have no idea of what is there.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I would park at the Fort that day and go to Magic Kingdom from there. Then you can head back to the Fort for haunted carriage ride and easily get to your car without having to fight the crowds and multiple forms of transportation. :goodvibes

Quick dining options at the Fort are limited, Trails End has a limited take out menu or you can get some pizza ;) you should check out the latest menus online closer to your trip. The beach does get crowded on Halloween night but it is very festive watching Hallowishes from the beach! And you will love seeing the decorated golf carts -- look for our two! Just be aware that there are far more people than beach chairs so you may very well have to stand or sit on the sand. We have never done the carriage ride so I can't comment on that.
Parking at the Fort gets somewhat tricky on Halloween, as last year they were cracking down on others parking at the lot that were not resort guests. It might be more convenient to park there but I'm not sure how that would pan out -- you could also just ride the boat from the MK. Since MNSSHP will be going on that night, the boats will be running to/from the MK until 1AM :cool1: and what a scenic way to end your night!

Enjoy!!

Parking at the Fort would be at the Outpost lot at the opposite end of the Fort from the beach, so you would have to walk or use internal bus to get to the beach area...also where the takeout food would be. Then after the events, you would have to ride back to the Outpost to collect your car. Busses are frequent, but can be crowded before and after Fort events.
