hope my posting makes some sense:)
thanks eve:D

uktigger--

We did MNSSHP for the first time in October and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd highly recommend it. As far I know, the Halloween decorations are only out for the MNSSHP party. Of course, some they leave up daily, but I would say 90% of it is only up on those nights. I do not believe any other parks do anything for Halloween though we were there the week before so I'm not certain.

We actually did MNSSHP twice and glad we did. We would have been awefully rushed to get everything done in one evening (if you plan on riding a lot of rides). We did a Friday and spent that night doing all the Halloween festivities and spent less time on the rides. We did the reverse on the following Sunday. It was great--we never waited and if we did, it was never more than 5 minutes! I found just to have no wait time on the rides from 7-12:00 is worth the extra dollars! Especially since the parks close early--it just extended the day.

One tip--unless you plan on spending the morning at a park and getting a good number of hours in, we found it made more sense to hang around the hotel or DD on the morning of MNSSHP. (We saved on using a day on our hopper). You can get into MK at 4:00 with your MNSSHP tix.

Hope this helps!

If you go to allearsnet.com and search for Mickey's not so scary halloween party you will find the page with the 2003 information.. We are planning on going this year as well. I looked at the seaworld site and saw that they also are doing a Halloween party too .. My kids will be dressing up but the adults are going to just have matching t-shirts.. Michelle

We went to MNSSHP 2 times for the first time in October too and had a blast. The decorations are great.

We also went to SeaWorld for their Halloween Spooktacular. It was pretty good. They had a lot more candy stations for trick or treating than Disney had, but I think Disney had better candy. The whole place was decorated too. There were cobwebs all over and skeletons too. We had a good time. We also did the Dine with Shamu and had great seats right up front. Didn't miss a thing. We even got wet!

Tigger well worth going to,we done our first one last year!Be warned though it will be busy,we'd already been there 2 weeks & on the whole the"parks" hadn't been too bad but because WDW really push the boat out ,a lot turn up just for this event!6 hours just doesn't feel long enough! We didn't dress up last year(not enough baggage allowance!) but I think that we'll make the effort this year.
Sea World had a Halloween party for the first time in 2003,the concierge at our hotel worked there during the day & said it would be mainly "trick or treating" & storytelling, but we had to come home before it started. Busch gardens do Howl'o'Scream & IOA has Halloween horror nights,we've done both & IOA just steals it but be warned both of these are PG13(although our 8 year old loved them!) & are really scary!!
Before I forget you can order your MNSSHP passes online, they only took about 5 days(they quote 10!) & they're plastic not card!
Hope this helps SD:wave:

Last year the tickets went on sale via the phone the end of April and then via the Internet about a month later.

I've heard that individual hotels/resorts may do trick or treating that night for their guests but not the other parks.

There are no Halloween decorations EXCEPT at the party.

Boardwalk has some Halloween festivities going on that night as well.

Have fun!

Tigger as mentioned in the post above the tickets go on internet sale about May-I think I ordered mine about July /August from the Disney site-I seem to recall that you get a discount for ordering on line.I can still buy them at the park but I would imagine that the sell up pretty quick the closer they get to Halloween. We bought our Ds a Mickey pumpkin bucket for his "trick or treats"(about $5) but WDW supply small carrier bags on the night, you also get a free photo taken that they post out to you, ours came about 2 weeks after getting back home.
If you have anymore Questions just ask SD:teeth:
