Planning a trip for October or November (dates are flexible) for our family with 4 children, ages 8, 6, and 4 (twins). We've been during Thanksgiving and loved the Christmas decorations but we've heard that Halloween is a great time to go with the kids. How are the crowds during Halloween? Originally I was thinking of going the week before. Thoughts?

Since children up to 3 get in free, coupled with the fact that Disney's Halloween isn't scary like other parks, guests take advantage of that to give their children a wonderful first (or at least early) Halloween experience, so, you can expect hefty crowds. But it's still worth it and an enjoyable experience. Even at my age, I still think it's fun (though I don't mind scarier alternatives as well, haha).

I too wonder about what its like at Halloween!

I have been looking up some threads here on the forum and get the impression its been scaled back a lot on Halloween over the last few years?

My daughter is IN LOVE with The Nightmare before Christmas and Id love to take her for Halloween one of these years!

We were there on Halloween night, 2006. At the time our kids were 1, 6, 9. We also had our 4 year old niece and my parents with us. They all LOVED it, and so did the adults. Halloween is our families favorite holiday. :thumbsup2 Our little one had no problem sleeping through the fireworks even, they were quite loud. lol But it was alot of fun. This year my husband and I are going for our 17th anniversary without the kids. By chance we are going during the first two days of it, so we are definitely doing this again.
