Halloween accessories???

Our Families are set to cruise on the Magic this Halloween,
My SIL was asking me today about 'play' swords...for her DH's costume.
Do any of you experts know if it is allowed in your luggage (non carry-on)?

In our docs for the Wonder, there was a letter that specifically stated to NOT bring swords or knife-like accessories for Halloween costumes. I went out and bought a plastic "Captain Hook" hand and am planning to put it in the checked luggage, still in its package. Hopefully this will fly.
