Halloween 2022 costumes thread

I know it is still summer, but October is one of my favorite months! Bring on the cooler weather and pumpkin spice! As far as Halloween costumes, Catwoman (I actually never saw the movie), but I found a costume so I am all set. Gotta love thrift shopping!

Is this a particular Catwoman from the movies or a general Catwoman?

Checking out Spirit Halloween's site. Seems like they're still doing much of the same Haunted Mansion, Hocus Pocus, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and Beetlejuice merch as they did last year. Of these, the Haunted Mansion still gets no costumes or animatronics. They would make a killing on animatronics alone. I would think there's a bigger market for HM than Killer Klowns .

Also, Halloween is only 88 days away.

I also loved Lee Meriwether from the 60's Batman movie. They gave her and Bruce a kind of tragic love story in that.

But ultimately, my forever favorite is still Michelle Pfeiffer. She took a cheesy script and made it work, she was really great with the whip, her Selina Kyle was the only interesting Bruce Wayne love interest, and she had to endure a restrictive costume with heels. The most strange, most unique Catwoman!

We're going to the MNSSHP on our trip in September. I wanted to dress up in costumes, but no dice. So we're just going to wear matching t-shirts. Ah, well.

I'm all for Halloween stuff showing up in stores; it's my favorite time of year and October is my favorite month. So what if it's being rushed a bit? The world is in a pickle-enjoy what you can.

Spirit Halloween is open! I was one of the few customers there, and was followed by a store associate who stayed five feet away from me at all times.

Check out the retro, Ben Cooper-style Star Wars costumes. Neat, but I wish they had generic, unlicensed old school monster mask costumes. Also some cool Universal Monsters and Star Wars latex masks. Franky and the Creature are a whopping $70, but these are high quality stuff from Trick-or-Treat Studios.

BTW, this isn’t Chewbacca, it’s actually a Tattooine Flounder. Tasty fish, sure to be a hit costume this year.

A lot of people have skipped trick or treating due to Covid concerns so they probably have left over stock.

Yes and no. It’s common where the holiday has a bigger following (suburban areas).

We live in a not suburban area in Miami and its a big deal in our neighborhood. In 2019 we counted approx 800 kids & had 20lbs of candy promptly disappear. In 2021 there were around 500 hundreds Kids & 15 pounds of candy was not enough.

Our Halloween decorations come out labor day weekend.
