Halloween 2014 advice please :)

Hi,
Can anyone tell me when the Halloween season usually starts? I'm looking at a few days possibly Sunday 5th October - Wednesday 8th October, is this a good time to go? Our main priority is low crowds and trying to catch the start of the Halloween season.

Going on past years dates, your trip will be right at the start of Halloween season in 2014.

Thanks. Do you think that that Sunday will be busier than normal because it is the first weekend of the Halloween celebrations? Maybe I should think about going the Sunday after, will it make much difference to the crowds?
