Halfway between mco and wdw

friend is going to conference at one of the airport hotels. we need a hotel about halfway in between that is not expsensive/decent area. any ideas?

The Florida Mall area is closer to the airport and can be rather sleezy. Midway is Hunters Creek, but I don't think there are a lot of hotels in that area. I would just stay by the airport and commute back and forth via 417.

The International Drive area is about 10 minutes from the airport and 15-20 minutes to Walt Disney World. If you want a condo or townhome gated community Vista Cay is a perfect location, next to the Convention Center, on Universal Blvd, about 1/2 mile to International Drive. It is centrally located to about everything. There are also lots of hotels near the Convention Center!
