It looks like we're going to be booking 5nts/6days over May Half term:cool1:

I've found out lots of useful info from the "stickys" and previous threads but I have a few more ?'s.

I intend to book half board plus for two adults and two children, although this doesn't look easy on the DLRP website, only standard seems to be an option, how do I do this?

Will we get 5 vouchers each or 6 (ie is it based on days or nights?).

The only Character meal incuded is the Lucky Nugget saloon, which is fine by us. What's best, lunch or dinner in that restaurant? Any times better than others?

Can you give me your top 5/6 of all the half board plus restaurants and let me know if I should book or not. I'm guessing as it's halfterm it's best to book, how far in advance can I book?
I doubt we'll venture into the hotels, just stick to park and village restaurants:thumbsup2
What are the childrens menus like? Are they varied or is it like WDW where it's all mac'n'cheese and chicken nuggets:rolleyes:

Thanks in advance.

I would say lunch at the Lucky Nugget, not sure what time the park is open till in May, if it closes early your only be able to have lunch there.

The easiest way is to phone the booking line - they'll add whatever you want to your existing package this way.

You'll get 5 - it's based on nights.

See above for my answers...

You can use the vouchers at face value in any restaurant so you dont need to stick to the half board restaurants.

Annettes in the Village is a favourite for a lot of us on here

Agrabah in adventureland is also nice and a bit different to other places

A few people have also recommended the rendezvous des stars in the studios recently as well

both these 2 are buffets so children can eat whatever although there are childrens options available as well

There is a choice of about 5 mains at annettes for children including nuggets, burger, hot dog, chicken? / salmon?

If you like your food I would advise half board premium - that way the world is your oyster and you can dine with the Princesses, in the DLH itself, at Buffalo Bills Wild West show - basically anywhere. (We just came back last night - can you tell we're impressed with HB Premium? :rotfl: )

With the plus, I believe you can eat at Walts which is lovely because it has nice adult food for you, while the children's menu does include burger - but it is proper burger

All the restaurants I can think of include a pasta meal for children, and I don't mean mac'n'cheese which is unheard of. (Actually, I think I know what you mean by it - but certainly never seen it on a menu). There is also usually a fish choice and chicken doesn't neccesarily mean nuggets.

The Silver Spur is nice if you are a meat eating family. This was what my daughter had

I think you may also be able to eat at the Steakhouse - but you can't use the vouchers for the Sunday Brunch there.

Our favourite place to eat on HB+ was the Steakhouse in the village, but I noticed it got a bit busy and hectic as the night went on, so would advise eating about 6-6.30pm if you eat here. Superb food and service though :thumbsup2 and great value for money (voucher covers 33 Euro menu and a soft drink).

I've been to Annettes before and it was quite nice, I think the girls will like it so no doubt we'll give it a go.

Wow! Thanks for the foodie advice. I have one child thats a great eater and one thats not, neither are particularly carnivorous! Pasta for them sounds great. Although we dont eat at many buffet restaurants here I think they are our best bet to keep everybody happy!
I don't think I'll be going to HB premium I'm not sure I want to splash out £82 per day for one meal for five days. The steakhouse, Walt's and the silver spur are all included in "PLUS" and I think they'll be fine for us - I'm just happy to not be cooking for a few days :lmao:

Thank you, that one is def on my list to book, we're fine to eat early - the children are quite used to it at home! Thanks for the tip:thumbsup2
Off to see if I can find the 33e menu on the internet:idea:

No probs, think it's on the review thread ;)

I've just browsed it on the food guide. Sounds delish to me:thumbsup2

Yeah it was good, the best meal we ate while we were there. I was a bit surprised when I got my soup in a glass with a straw though   Wasn't quite sure how I was supposed to eat it :rotfl: and there was no one else in the restaurant that had ordered it so I couldn't even have a look to see what everyone else was doing :lmao:

Hello, I notice on the meal menu it says "Ravioli Duo" on the half board plus menu. Is this a vegetarian dish??

Is the menu on magical kingdom disneyland paris menus the correct one?

Many thanks

:yay:

Yeah the Ravioli is the vegetarian dish. It's also what I had and was lovely :thumbsup2 . I don't know if it's the right menu or not, I'll have a look and report back soon ;)

We actually decided to keep to the halfboard standard and splash out on the princess meal for DD's as a surprise instead. We're more than happy with the restaurants reviews in the standard catagory - more money to spend on Disney tat ;)

OT - but a word of advise. if your DDs are likely to want to dress up as Princesses for the meal its better if you can buy dresses before you go and take them with you. We got DD a new Cinderella one from Ebay recently for £20. In the park they were 45Euros and some were even 70E

They have plenty of dresses to take, and as we're driving I can probably hide a selection and they won't even know it. As more of a WDW visitor I've never "encouraged" (lets say ;) ) that they wear their dresses to the parks due to the heat, but May in Paris will be fine, I hope:)

I have read but if someone can confirm this, half board vouchers can be used at face value for lunch with the princess's or you can use 2 half board vouchers to cover the whole cost.
