I am wondering if you can get half and order of tonga toast or macadamia
pancakes from Kona Cafe? I am traveling alone and want to try them both but I am not a big eater and I hate to waste alot of food.
Thanks!!!!:)

It isnt an option on the menu so I would think the answer is no

I can't eat the Tonga Toast (no bananas for me!), but I've seen it and agree that no normal-eating person could finish all that. The thing is huge!

You'd still be wasting food, but would get it cheaper at Captain Cooks. :) To avoid wasting it, you could always take the part you can't finish outside and annoy those around you by throwing it to the birds. :rotfl:

You're probably joking, but people, please don't feed the birds or any other wild animals. There are numerous reasons for it. :)

As for half orders, it's probably doable for the pancakes as you get multiple pancakes but I don't see how they can do it for Tonga Toast. It's one big hunk o' bread. There is also banana stuffed French toast at Boatwright's and it is smaller.

No macadamia nut pancakes at captain cook's. Just the tonga toast. They also have dole whips though in case anyone is looking for a fix outside the MK!

Thanks for the great responses. Is the tonga toast the same at Captain Cook's. I think that would be a great idea.I would rather just use a CS credit. I really just want to try the tonga toast because of it's popularity.I don't plan on eating much of it. I really am not a big breakfast eater especially a sweet breakfast but I am being swayed by great reviews. I think I will just plan to try the macadamia pancakes (because it is so popular and looks really yummy)at Kona and tonga toast at Captain Cook's. I am staying 3 nights at the Poly so I am also really looking forward to eating a daily dose of dole whip!!!!
Thanks again!!!!!!:)

I think you have it right - macadamia nut pancakes at Kona and Tonga Toast at Captain Cooks. Tonga Toast is good, but VERY filling. I also suggest getting a press pot of Kona coffee. It's just enough for one, but I had to share mine. ;) The regular coffee there is also very good and a much better deal. :) Enjoy!!
