I kept meaning to post this, and kept forgetting.-something dh pointed out to me a few weeks ago.

It's something you may already know, but I thought I'd point it out anyway. In order to keep the required pace of the half marathon and not get swept up we need to maintain a 16 minute mile which is equal to approximately 3.8 miles per hour.

If you are walking to get prepared, I would suggest walking at AT LEAST this pace.

Since studies show when longer distances are covered there is a tendancy to slow down, walking faster than 3.8 is a real good idea.

Hope this helps.

It definitely does help.
I just got a treadmill and was trying to figure out exactly what you posted!
I wanted to find out exactly whats I need to walk to keep that pace. I can set the treadmill to exactly 3.8.
