Half-day tickets? Still exist? Budget option

Hi everyone,
We’re trying to plan/find budgeting ideas for our cancelled 2020 vacation for August 2023 (obviously can’t do much until resort availability opens), and I was wondering…I swear I heard something about half-day tickets a while ago, but when I looked for them today, I didn’t see them? Half-day tickets might work well for us and I would hope they would be cheaper? But do they even exist anymore or anyone know what’s going on with it?

Disney has "after 1 PM" and "after 5 PM" single day tickets for convention attendees and their guests. I know that they still exist because they have them for a meeting that we have later this year.. There used to be an "Epcot after 4 PM" pass for local residents but I have not seen it lately.

WDW hasn't regularly offered half-day theme park tickets to the general public for ... I'm not sure when they did other than special offers; the last I recall is the Mid-Day Magic offer which I think was in 2019. As PP mentions there are late-entry tickets available to convention attendees if you can find access to those. At this point any ticket will require a theme park reservation regardless of entry time.

The only thing like that I've ever heard of are after 5PM tickets that people registered at conferences on site can buy as part of their conference package. But that was pre-Covid, so I have no idea if that option still exists.

I think you may not actually get to see or do much with a half day ticket. Lots of time spent in lines.
