Hi guys, my family has been to Disney numerous times. Our last trip was last Sept. so I don't feel a need to try to pack it all in. I've seen and done every ride/show before.

This time my husband and I are going to be in Clearwater beach for 3 nights but we need to drive to Orlando for our flight back home. Our flight is at 9:00 pm so we have until 7:00 pm (when we need to drop off the car). I can leave Clearwater early but I just don't know if it is even worth visiting a park as I will most probably encounter traffic on my way to Orlando.

If I do a park it would most probably be Epcot. But debating just going to DTD and enjoying food and shopping around there until my flight.

What do you guys think?

What time would you be leaving Clearwater to head to Orlando? I would try to leave as early as possible so you can beat traffic and get to a park quicker.

First, I love Clearwater Beach, my mother lived there for 5 years. I'm not sure it would be worth buying tickets for that one day but if you have an AP, it would be worth a drop into Epcot for a quick Food and Wine visit.

Heck yeah, I would do it! I would walk around EP every day of my life if I could, LOL! I don't think I could be that close and NOT go to EP for the day. If cost is a concern, yes, just go to DS (lots of fun, too!), but if you can swing the tickets, I would do it!

I can leave anytime but I was thinking around 7:30-8:00am

No I don't have AP. I would have to buy a ticket. I am so excited about Clearwater. I've never been and looking forward to long walks on the beach. That is why I am debating just not doing the park so I could spend my last morning on the beach until checkout and then making my way slowly to Orlando and hanging out in Orlando until my flight.

Haha. I know what you mean. I love walking around the world showcase checking out the shops and having a few drinks around the lagoon. Money is not so much a concern. It's the drive down and rush hour I will encounter. I am scared I will only get there at 10-11am and then have to leave by 5:30- 6:00pm.

Love Clearwater. Got married there. It's only about a little over an hour and a half away from the parks. I'd just plan to leave as early as possible to avoid traffic in the am and get as much of a day in as possible before you leave. Definitely doable.

Personally I would spend the morning at the beach. If i needed a small disney fix I would hit disney springs for an early dinner before my flight.

I wouldn't want to end my relaxing beach vacation rushing to get to Disney to rush around a park before a flight.

That's just my opinion. Sounds like you've been to Disney before and will go back so enjoy Clearwater.

Ya, I think your right. It just seems like too much trouble for my last day of vacation. We'll make our way slowly to Orlando after a morning on the beach and then head to the Polynesian or DTD for a couple drinks and food until its time to head to the airport. Cheeper that way too. Thanks
