Half day at DL & DCA

Every couple of years when we go we are there at rope drop and make sure we collect fast passes during the morning hours before they are all gone. This Saturday, we won't be there until noon/1 pm and I've started mid day like that before! I'm thinking start in California Adventure and head over to DL around 6 pm. What would your approach be to try and get on maximum number of rides if you'd be there from noon until closing time on a busy Saturday? Thanks for any advice.
