My family and I are looking to book our first trip to DLRP for the last week in August, there are six of us staying at the Davy Crockett Ranch (Me, my Wife and our four sons 17, 8, 6 and 2). I was just wondering if anyone had chosen the half board standard option and whether it proved to be a significant saving or not ?

Cheers

We used half board plus and definitely saved on that, and since the exchange rate is even worse since February I think you'd almost certainly save by paying in £. I think it depends how much you dislike being confined to set menus. You don't have to eat from them however, you can have the monetary value (in euros) of your voucher taken from the bill.

Hi Cueball_Col and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:

We have just returned from our trip and I would suggest that the half board plus is a better option (we took that option) as it allows you to eat at a wider range of restaurants .... we booked all of our meal times before we went and didn't have to wait at all to sit down - plus it is really nice to have your day planned and know when your meal times are !

We noticed that the drinks in the restaurants are quite expensive - with HB plus your first soft drink each is included.
