half board and shareholders

Sorry if this has been answered but have a silly question.

If I wanted to add halfboard plus to my booking do I get shareholders discount on it or not.
Did not use shareholders discount when booked as got 40% discount.
Please help very confussed!!!

no, its not worth having half board vouchers when you are a shareholder, you can't use shareholders discount to buy the half board vouchers, you pay full price for them, and they don't give you anything close to the 15% straight discount you get by using your shareholders card and just paying the bill at DLP.

I agree. I don't think it's worth adding if you ah e to pay full price.

I added it as it was the only way to get my booming upgraded to the 50% so we got £170 worth of vouchers for £60 and even now the vouchers are giving me a headache!

Snap!! We ended up with £400 worth of vouchers for approx £150 and am I finding them a right pain! I don't think I'd ever choose to buy them, even if I didn't have shareholder's discount.

We were planning on eating at Agrabah Cafe and I keep thinking what a waste of a voucher it'll be, then have to keep reminding myself that as I haven't paid the proper price for them it doesn't really matter if we 'lose' money on them. It just goes against the grain, though!

Haha! I've taken Agrabah off my list because it's a "waste" of HB+ vouchers. That we're free lol.

I also worry that our Cafe Mickey meal is going to be under €62. Which really doesn't matter! Lol.

can you . buy one days worth of half board even if your trip is for 4 days??? I am a shareholder and was going to buy half board vouchers until reading this tread the restaurants we have chosen are Cowboy cookout lunch, Auberge, Cafe Mickey and one in the hotel Newport bay.
Could I not just pay up front for Auberges ??

yes, you could add Auberge to your package if thats the one meal you want to book and pay for in advance. Is it cheaper doing it that way over using shareholders discount when you are at DLP?

You can't, as far as I'm aware, book anything other than half board vouchers for all members of your party for all nights of your onsite stay.

Do you think I should just add the one meal to my booking the the dearest one auberges or add them all???/
The pluses of the half board is budgeting wise food and a large portion of spends are taken care off

I worked it out buying half board vouchers standard plus is £116 for 1 adult 1 child. We are staying 3 nights 4 days in October

if you're a shareholder, I don't think you should add any meals to your package at all to be honest, just keep the money aside that you would have used on half board vouchers and take that with you to DLP to spend on food, and use your shareholders discount.

Thanks for the advice here I agree and think the best option is to actually budget and give DH to "hold" £150.00 then take it DLp in a sperate wallet. This would mean the best saving AND warrents me buying the shares in the first palce!!!
