We live for orange juice from Hale Groves but aren't planning on going to Vero Beach this year.:fish:

I know Hale Groves does not ship orange juice through mail order so we can't get any that way. Does anyone know if there is something similar that we can get in Orlando? We tried fresh orange juice from Goodings which was ok but we are looking for that authentic flavour without having to drive to Vero Beach for it. :scratchin

Any ideas and/or suggestions?

Thanks!

Well, Orlando is in Orange County after all, so there surely used to be plenty of Orange groves there. Of course I can;t name any in the area, but surely there is one in the area.

I'm with you on Hale Groves. We subscribed to a citrus subsciption thru them for the winter. I don't imagine they deliver up in Red Deer or anywhere in Alberta for that matter (but they might). Now you know Hale does ship within Florida, and if you know when you're going to be arriving, perhaps you could have some of the good stuff shipped to you at WDW.

just a thought.

According to their website they don't ship juice. All they ship is oranges and a juicer. Do you think they ship actual juice?

If that is true I will be one happy person!

There used to be several stands along 27 - especially near the citrus tower.

But, with all the development along the highway, I'm not sure that they are still there. But I bet there's at least one...

My family is in the gift fruit business - but we don't ship juice, either. Sorry.

There is a product called Indian River Citrus that is sold in grocery stores. I am olrigianlly from Vero Beach, and this is the closet that I have found to that tast from home

Yeah, I bought the Indian River Citrus juices last time we were at WDW (at the Publix) and it was very good.
Perhaps our friend up in Red Deer AB (and I've actually been thru Red Deer! nice part of the world) might go the route of getting oranges and a juicer for home, and getting a rental car and asking for recommendations from resort staff for fresh juice stands in the Orlando area. So Beth X, I'm going to be in both VB :sunny: and then at VWL this month, coming back to snowy New England on the 18th. I will make a point of asking WL staff :hyper2: about local area juice stands. If I haven't posted here by say the 20th, PM me and ask. :chat:

Thanks for the offer but I will be at BWV from Jan 15th to the 28th! Thanks anyway. If I find out any further info I will post. I did try the Hale Groves 1-800 number and they aren't open until Monday.

I am seriously considering a trip to Vero just to get some juice as I will be there for 2 weeks. My husband and I drink Tropicana Grovestand brand orange juice every day because we have found that to be as close to Vero juice as possible when you are thousands of miles away!

Red Deer is an awesome place to live and very beautiful. Were you visiting Banff? That is the most beautiful town in the world.

We're going to be in Orlando in February, and I always like to get fresh Orange juice in Florida. I checked the internet and found White's Red Hill Groves. They have a retail store in Orlando, on 3725 S. Conway Rd. According to Yahoo's directions it's less than 6 miles from MCO. I called the company, 1-800-654-5562, and yes, they sell fresh Florida OJ!

We plan to stop!
