I am seriously thinking about getting my haircut on the Disney Wonder in a few weeks. The cost is close to what I play on land. Curious if anyone here has done this and how did they like it? Would you recommend getting a haircut on board and/or would you do it again? Thank you!

Depends on how particular you are about haircuts I guess. Are you the type that relies on your favorite stylist to know what you like? Or are you the "just make it shorter" type?

I've not had my haircut or styles onboard. I have been to the spa. For this reason amongst others I would not have anything permanent done to myself onboard. Essentially you are going to a very expensive walk in salon. Just friends on your expectations I suppose.

My daughter had her hair done a couple of years ago. He did a BEAUTIFUL job and she really enjoyed the experience. He took his time and made her feel special and since we do not do expensive salons at home, it was a treat. A little pricey, but it was worth doing.

Hair done or hair cut? A fancy do I would try, but not a haircut or color personally.

I've had my hair cut on a cruise before. I flat ran out of time before our cruise and my stylist couldn't get me in, so I figured I'd give it a shot and get it done on the ship. It turned out great! I have a pretty basic style and I just needed it trimmed and shaped. Not sure I'd make a habit out of it, but for one time it was worth it.

I got mine cut on the fantasy two years ago. I HATED it. I was making a drastic change and tried to do it in the swing of vacation and ended up getting a short hair cut. I went from long hair to somewhere between bob and pixie cut. They cut the flip in wrong so there was no way to make it look good with out spending an hour. The whole purpose of getting my hair cut short was to cut down on daily care not make it twice as long. When I got home my stylist tried to fix it a little but there was no saving it. I just had to let it grow out and while it was growing he fixed the uneven job they did.

I have gotten my hair done several times and have always had good experiences with that though.

I have had my hair done on formal night last year and it came out great. Would I let them cut it? Nope. I only let my hairdresser at home come near my head with a pair of scissors.

I'm the "make it shorter" type, but I wouldn't go to a new hairdresser that's never seen my hair before for a cut, especially on a vacation.

Is this where they put on some mouse ears and then trim around it like a bowl?

I've never gotten a cut, but I have gotten my hair styled several times. Out of those only one of the stylists struck me as experienced enough that I'd let him near me with scissors. He was fabulous, and I wish I could have brought him home with me. I have very hard to work with, stick straight, fine hair... and he knew exactly how to work with it. The other two times, the girls were perfectly nice, but didn't strike me as particularly great with my type of hair.
