Haircut @ Disney?

Thank you tzolkin! your kiddos (and pics) are adorable :) I am going to go for it. it will be a "magical" and memorable moment! Your little guy is so cute with those mickey ears.....isn't there just something about those ears that just melts your heart?! do you (or anyone else) have a reccommendation on when would be good to go...I know some say first thing in the morning?

Definitely do it. My son got his first haircut there too. Michal (correct spelling) is the absolute best! The do adults haircuts too but I'm not too sure how I feel about this. Obviously everyone has the right to a magical Disney vacation. But I was waiting in line for Michal probably for almost an hour and the person in front of me was a 40ish year old man. My son (6 months at the time) is not happy being there the whole time and I'm tired of holding him as it's getting heavy after an hour. The customer is just sitting there and talking to him about all of the secret spots in Toy Story Mania and all I could do was just stare at him and want to yell at him. No flames please. There's probably 10 yelling/whining kids waiting in line and this adult is taking up the time (while his wife is critiquing Michal's work). *sigh*

This sounds like so much fun, I think I will definitely be taking my DS (4) for a haircut!:thumbsup2

Is 15 months too early for a little girl's first haircut there. We're taking our DGD in early February. She turns 1 on Halloween.

Personally, I dont think so...if that happens to be the time that you are at Disney and want her to have her first haircut there...then 15 months is the perfect age.
We are going in Feb. also and my daughter will be 13 months old and we plan on having her first haircut there....she is blad now, so we are thinking of putting some Chia Pet seeds on her head so she has something to cut in 5 months!!

We did this last year when we brought the boys. My DS who was 2 at the time received a haircut but didn't get the paint and confetti. They said he was too young, b/c you have to wait about 30min for it to dry. and since its impossible for a 2 year old not to touch it for 30min they don't paint that young. They did hairspray and confetti it for him. However, DS-5, DH and myself all got our hair painted and confetti for the day. It was fun. We coordinated it on a day where a friend ours, her daughter went to the BBB. The kids loved it!

My DD3 just had her first ever haircut and it was at the Harmony Barbershop in MK. It was $14. She got a certificate, pixie dust (confetti), and a set of mickey ears with "First Haircut" embroidered on the back. I also got the trimmings for her baby book. It was a great experience. We went just before the 3 PM parade and only waited about 10 minutes for her to get in the chair.

I would highly recommend this experience, whether first haircut or not!

don't forget the big kids too! My son had it done at age 12 with confetti and a hidden mickey done in green gel on the back of his head. He still talks about it.:thumbsup2
