Hair wraps

Does anyone know if the Polynesian does hair wraps by the pool?
I know the Boardwalk, Beach Club and Port Orleans do. We are staying at the Poly in August and my oldest DD (8) loves to get her hair wrapped the first day of the trip. Thanks for your help.

They use to.... it was on the left side of the pool (left if you were coming from the Lobby area) going towards the the water craft rental. It was under a little Tiki hut.... not sure if they are still doing it there though.

They do them at Animal Kingdom and MGM. We got one at Animal Kingdom and the other at POR a few weeks ago.

Hi Minnie's Mommy,

My daughter had a hair wrap done last September at the Polynesian. Right next to the pool near the pool bar area.

It was lovely. I gasped at the price $25.00 but do you believe that thing lasted in her hair until just a month ago?? It was well worth the money. They said it could last two weeks to two months ... I think we definitely got our money's worth!

We headed back for the 4th of July and I plan to get one this year too!

I had an unfortunate experience with the hair wraps. My 5 y/o daughter got one at the POFQ on Thursday. It wa so cute and she just loved it. The girl that did it said that it could last up to a month. Well, my daughter's hair wrap came out on Saturday nite. She just found the wrap thing with beads and all on the floor. She was so upset. I geuss it wasn't tight enough or something. I was pretty upset too b/c it cost $25 and only lasted 3 days. Oh well. Chalk it up to experience.

OH, what an unfortunate experience ... were you still at Disney ... could you go back and ask to have it redone?

A hair wrap is colorful strings and beads are wrapped around several strains to hair and then hangs to the side .... kinds like a colorful braid. Hard to describe .. but they are cute ... especially when you are on vacation.

We were just at the Poly a couple of weeks ago and they had hair wraps at the pool still. DD ended up getting hers done at the MK though. She got it put in May 1st and it still looks great. She is going to have a fit when it has to come out! I keep telling her she can get another one in October when we go back.

My adult DD and granddaughter got theirs lat year at AMSo. It lasted for at least a month before my daughter took it out. They are adorable.

My DD got hers at Poly the beginning of April and still looks great! Although we just got 3 1/2 inches cut off her hair and she will probably have me cut it out of her hair now since there is a huge length difference.
We have always had good luck with them staying in for months but when it comes out we always have hair fall right out too.
This year we got a wrap that doesn't go in the hair but you can add it in to a ponytail holder when you want. They have a selection of those wraps in lots of different colors and styles if you want something versatile.

My DD got hers done one summer at the Poly also. As others have reported, if done well, they can last a very long time. Her wrap lasted almost a year before we persuaded her it was time to take it off! We took no special care of it - she swam at least once a week, and it got washed and conditioned regularly along with the rest of her hair.
