I am from the Uk - I've never been to Florida (infact i've never been to the US)
I know that Florida can be very humid... this doesnt bode well for wedding hair!
I have naturally very curly hair which i hate - I have grown it long and I straighten it... but because it is originally curly, if you add moisture then very soon I have a lions mane!
Any advice?
x

I have naturally curly hair, but after my wedding hair & makeup person got done with it, it wasn't going anywhere! :rotfl: You can see a bit of frizzy curlies around my face in the first shot, but it was nothing like the mane it is normally.

If you plan on wearing an updo, you /your cosmetologist should have no trouble if you just zap the H outta it with product. Usually they curl it first, which actually cuts down on frizz even more by re-training the natural curl.

For non-wedding humid days at WDW, I used curl-enhancing products like Ouidad's gel followed by Amika hair oil. These cut down the frizz and pouf while helping the humidity create great curls!

I may have to try your hair products... I too have naturally curly hair that I flat iron every day... I just have never found any products that I love to make it curly.
Thanks!!!

Thank you (your pictures are just gorgeous!) x
I am planning to have my hair straight and down... so my products are going to have to do their job without the hair being pinned in place? :scared1:
ha ha ha it aint gunna happen is it lol
Oh well - the photos should at least be funny :rotfl:
I have the 7 days at Disney before our wedding day so hopefully I will discover a way to make it behave.... :confused3

No problem! I also really like Ouidad's Playcurl Volumizing Foam cuz my hair is very fine, and the curl can get weighed down by heavier products. I use their Climate Control Heat & Humidity gel in Florida cuz I need something stronger in that climate, but out here in California I use the mousse.

Ooh, in that case, I'd recommend the Brazilian Keratin straightening treatment (if you can find one that doesn't have formaldehyde in it). It doesn't work as well as the Japanese straightening system, but at least it would help out your flat-iron routine.

Unless you want something permanent, in which case I highly recommend the Japanese straightening technique. I seriously didn't even need to comb my hair, it was so straight. The trouble is, when your curly roots come in you have to get it done all over again after they get to a certain point. And when you decide to stop, you have to grow it out.

What time of the year are you getting married? We got married in early March and there was no humidity at all, and that's even after it rained during the morning. So it might depend on when the wedding is, as to how prepared you need to be :confused3
