Is there anywhere in arrivals at Orlando airport that would sell US Straightners? Mine wont work in the US. Were not hiring a car so wont be able to go to a supermarket. I was hoping that i could find a decent pair at the airport or a Disney resort shop that would do for the holiday.

I can't go 2 weeks without them ;)

Thanks

Good question - I dont think that my ancient 9 year old GHDs will work over there and i will deffo need some straightners :goodvibes

I don't think so, it looks like you'll be cheaper to get a cap from Lidz!!! :lmao:

There are a list of shops HERE

You could order them a few days before from say amazon and have them delivered to your hotel

I know they are expensive (but worth it!) if you are looking to replace your GHD's there's a good offer on the GHD website Here- straighteners (with universal voltage for use abroad) and a travel hairdryer too for £99 :)

Hi have a look at somewhere like Argos as they have fairly cheap straighteners you need worldwide or dual voltage.

:thumbsup2 This is what we did last year. I need another set this year (different size and type) and will order them this week for delivery. So much easier. I just left the others in the case so they are there and ready to go again in 2 weeks :thumbsup2

Can any of you recommend a good dual voltage pair from this country or a pair that you've ordered from Amazon. I've read reviews that some of the dual voltage ones are not very good.

I can't recommend dual voltage because I refused to pay extortionate prices for sub standard reviews for a product where I would have one extra travel adaptor to have to plug in. I think I got mine on a sale last year on amazon.com for around $25. I just did a search for items rated 4 or 5 stars and read the reviews and picked a pair that looked nice :) And they worked great. I think it was a Babyliss set

Babyliss are usually good. I'll have a look through Amazon. How far before you went did you order them so that they were at your hotel in time?

I've just bought a Remington dual voltage pair from my local Asda for £15, because my faithful elderly GHDs aren't dual voltage and won't work over in the US.

I've tried them here, and they seem ok, but the quality is noticeably not as good as the GHDs. New GHDs are not an option just now.

I'll let you know how I get on!

I checked the estimated dispatch and delivery time and ordered them around 10 days ahead. Same this year with not wanting the stuff to arrive late, but also not wanting to be unreasonable about having the resort store my stuff for me longer than needed.

The good thing on amazon.com is that you can track your orders all the way through the delivery process - something you can't do on the UK site :)
