Hair dye in your luggage

I was planning on taking my tint and peroxide to touch my roots up, but have found out that thanks to the terrorists peroxide is no longer allowed.
Is there any hair dye (blonde) that i may be able to put in my case?

I should say, we're going to Cuba not Florida. Therefore it won't as easy as just going to Walmart to pick some up

Not sure about this one but just to let you know that Cuba can be quite funny about what you can take in.

We were considering this for next year but have seen that you can't take personal DVD players in. If they find one they will confiscate it - not much good as we would need this to keep DD happy on the flight.

Looks like you could take a laptop alright - Cuban customs.

As for hair dye why not do your hair just before you go, it should last the length of the holiday.

Peroxide is a highly flammable chemical that could be used to make a bomb that's one reason they don't want you to take it. Just either get your hair done before you go, get some out there or do without.
Personally I'm doing my hair before we go then I don't need to worry about it until after we come back home

Yes don't think peroxide has ever been allowed as it is highly flammable not to mention corrosive.

Personally I wouldn't want to be bothered with doing that while I was away, I would take the attitude that you are never going to see half of these people again so who cares if your roots are showing!

It definatly won't be going in my case now!!

My hair is being done a couple of days before we go. After about a week and a half when the dark starts coming through, it will start to look yellow. At this point I usually just touch up my parting and visable bits, not the full head.
I've also got to keep on top of my tooth whitening because they start to look yellow quite quickly. I'll have to do some extra bleaching before we go.

Yes peroxide is also very useful for bomb making

I am sure you will be fine and you never know may find somewhere to get your hair done at the resort.

You can get natural hair dyes that don't contain peroxide or ammonia, there are a few available on the internet which will last 6-8 weeks just like a regular hair colour which should be enough to get you through your holiday. Just be aware of local issues in Cuba like any water supply limitations etc before you use them
