haiir braiding/wrap

My daughter had her hair braided last time we cruised...she didn't like it as much as the hair wrap she is still wearing from our AUGUST vacation! She was very happy to hear that she can now have it wrapped on the ship instead of just braids!

"In addition to hairbraiding, guests on the Disney Magic will able to get hairwraps. The fee is the same as at Disney World - $1.50 per inch."

do they offer it on the wonder also? dd always has it done when we go to the keys and wont take them out.

My DD7 always gets the hair wraps at WDW. Last month she had her hair braided on the Wonder for the first time. I had no idea how painful it was!!!! DD was crying in the chair and so was the older girl in the other chair (insert smilie of :badmother: here, LOL). She's already said next time she'll stick with the hair wrap...

Hair wrap is a small strand of hair wrapped with colorful thread.

Hair braid is corn rows - tight braids woven to the head.

Thanks Linda i think my girls will enjoy the wrap, don't think they are up for painfull braiding!

How long does the hair wrapping take? My 4 DD's loved the braids (when completed) in St Maarten BUT - it took forever. Almost 2.5 hours for the one with the longest hair and 2 hours for the other girls! Now they all had it done at the same time so it did not take a whole day. Will I have to make 4 seperate appointments? Or can they do them as a group?

As I recall it took about 30-45 minutes for shoulder length hair.

If your daughter or involved in sports or baton or maybe even gymnastics.....

The possibility exists that she may have to take her beads (on ends of braids) or wrap out right away due to sporting regulations. We ran into this once when they weren't going to let her play with beads in her hair. So out they came...

(They're picky about even hair clips sometimes.)
