We have 3 weeks and 2 days till our DL vacation and here I am already going through my kids dressers and pulling out clothes for our trip, LOL.....

question, are tennis shoes best for the kids to wear or flip flops? or something else????

any other suggestions?:rolleyes1

Can not answer your question, but how is the weather in Newport, I will be down there tonight.

Hahah, don't worry I would do the same thing!

Tennies are probably the best. Lots of walking to do and I read somewhere that Flip Flops are the worst thing you can wear to an amusement park. :headache:

I followed a tip I got here...the kids wore tennis shoes for the most part, then we pulled out flip-flops for the wet rides. We kept them in the bottom of the stroller. This worked great for us.

P.S. I love Newport! The Oregon Coast is my second favorite vacation spot. ;)

I will be packing this weekend for my kids, too. :thumbsup2
We do not live close to any type of clothing store... so I need to be prepared if I need to get clothes/shoes for them beforehand.
My kids mostly wear athletic shoes in the parks. We do trade off with periods of teva flip flops, though.
Looks like we will be there around the same time, can't wait.:yay:

We aren't going to DLR until April 20th and when we first booked the trip (about a month ago) I went through the kids' clothes and put aside everything summery that they would not need between now and then. So you aren't as crazy as I am! :P

I won't pull out my kids Disney shirts until I do laundry about 2 or 3 weeks before our trip. Shorts are another problem - my kids have outgrown theirs and I don't know that I want to buy new shorts in March! They may just have to suffer with jeans. I guess I'll decide what to do when we get a little closer and can check some extended weather forecasts. We only have 5 weeks to go!

But, I prefer to think that you're not crazy - just prepared! :thumbsup2

I had to hit Old Navy right before our trip when the temps were forecasted
in the 80's! Of course I do live in Northern CA and it will be spring very soon! My daffodils and crocuses are already almost done blooming!

We will be there the same time. I haven't pulled out the summer stuff yet because I am busy going through things for a garage sale to earn money for our trip. I have bought some snacks and have them ready to go.

We are going in 16 days - My daughters suitcase is already packed - mine unfortunately is another story as I was the one to outgrow my shorts.....

:scared1:

We're from Orem, too! And we'll be there Apr 3-7. Have fun!!

Not crazy! :) I bought my son a few Disney shirts since they are on sale at the store right now. They will go in his Easter basket which he will get in the car since we are driving to DL on Easter morning.

What a good idea! The Easter Bunny is coming early to our house. He is bringing baskets filled with Disney stuff on the Friday before Easter and that is how the kids are finding out about our trip!
I'm so excited!!

YaY! People from Orem - Unite! One of my friends is going with her family that same time and she gets to take her grandkids for the first time. So it will be Orem week!

I have a friend from American Fork going that week, too. Can you tell Alpine has Spring Break?!?!

It is Davis' Spring Break too. We will be there over Easter. Our Easter bunny always brings Swimming suits. This year he will just be bringing ones that have princesses on them.

I have also bought my girls each a new Disney shirt for each day we will be there. I am all about saving the money for the fun in the park. I have found shirts for everyone at WalMart and the Disney Outlet store.
