We just got back from helping my parents move to West Virginia. They're all moved in now, but still have a lot of unpacking to do. :(

They're in such a nice little town. My step-father grew up there, in the house where they're living and has stayed in touch with some of the people who live there. He still has the same next-door neighbors (on both sides!) that he had when he was a child. The people are super friendly. I'm sure we'll be going down a lot.

The problem is that I can't stand my step-father. When they lived here, my Mom would come over and we would go out. I dread the thought of staying in the same house with him and it puts a damper on my desire to visit.

If I moved away and come back years later and both my neighbors where still here, I would shoot myself

The woman next door is almost 65, unmarried, and has lived in the same house all her life! One of my favorite people there is 75 and has lived in town all her life.
