Just came back from Disneyland on Friday (6/18) at 1 am. We had used 5 for 3 passes Sun - Thurs and upgraded them to Deluxe APs. We have plans to return in August.
Then this morning, I was taking my DH to the airport. He has a contract in So. Cal. sort of nearby to Disneyland. He doesn't have an Annual Pass as he has neither time nor inclination. As we are nearing the airport, he realized he'd left his suitcase at home - 35 minutes away. There is no way to return for the suitcase and still make the flight. I send him on his way and drive home to ponder the dilemna of how to get him his suitcase with a week's worth of clothes and - most importantly - medications.
Then I have a scathingly brilliant idea. A couple of phone calls, a few arrangements, and - voila!- younger DS & I are toodling down the highway. 6 hours later, we arrive at the parking lot, hop a shuttle bus and are eating Bengal BBQ. The park is packed, but we still manage 3 or 4 rides, a quick shopping expedition to the Lego store. Then off to hubby's hotel to deliver the suitcase, have dinner with him, and settle for a good night's sleep. We'll be at Disneyland at rope drop in the morning. Should be able to get a bunch of rides in the early hours. Then head back home after lunch - hopefully before the traffic gets really ugly.
I hadn't planned on a return trip quite this soon (3 days? Really?), but since the opportunity presented itself we took it.
