I pulled into a parking lot this morning and heard a snap and something dragging in the front of my car. The tie rod snapped and when I called AAA they said a tow truck would be there within 45 minutes. They were there in 8 minutes and I was less than 5 miles from my house, so towing was free.
I'm just posting to say that I really believe that AAA is worth the membership. I have saved 5% on park passes, discounted movie tics, always use the "rent 2 get 3rd movie free" at my local video store, 20% off at Lenscrafters for DD's glasses and now the towing.
I also think that buying a membership is a great holiday gift to give to someone.
Now if they'd only come and save me from my housework

). Stopped at McD's at exit 11 on I-75 near Monroe, MI (DS5 needed a potty stop). Pulled in, turned the engine back on (so DW and DS3 could have A/C) and POP! There went the car (okay, GM Blazer) battery. Called AAA. Someone was out to us in about 30 minutes, and we were on our way (short about $120.00 for the battery) in less than 2 hours.
