It was suppose to be a budget trip, but ended up spending more. We stayed 1 night at POP, then moved to WL for 2 nights, and then our last night at Poly.

It was a last minute trip. I booked the woodsview. We stayed on the 2nd floor facing MK. Lots of dead looking trees. I guess I keep comparing the pine trees here in northern state and the trees at WL. Our pine trees here looks a lot like the christmas trees and not tall and skinny. Anyways. We saw a little bit of fireworks through the trees. Saw the monoraila and the CR a little bit. I really didn't enjoy the view at all. Though we saw birds and cranes and bunnies. Still... I didn't care for it. I would much rather pay extra to get the courtyard view. We stayed at WL cy view twice already and I guess that's what I am used to.

The customer service is fine. Very friendly and helpful. We got the 2 queens. The room was very clean and no musty smell. The mouskeeping was fine. We only at at the RF.

The water at the pool was nice and warm. We enjoyed our swimming there. We watched the water peagent parade from the beach. It was very nice. It was once again a very nice relaxing stay at the WL.

The bus service was good. The wait is no more than 15 minutes going to the park. And the same way back.. We left way before the park closed. We prefer to use the bus over the boat. The boat takes forever to get to WL. They have to stop at FW first before WL.

I would definitely stay here again, especially during Christmas!! I love love WL!! Just simply breathtaking!!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. DD and I stayed there last December and the resort was beautiful with all the Christmas decorations.

thanks for sharing details about your stay at the WL
i also love the courtyard view and probably pay for it as I would not want a bad view i like to sit out on my balcony and relax with my a.m. food and drink

Glad to hear that you had a nice time at the WL! :goodvibes We will be back there in 20 days. :sunny:

I'm glad you had a wonderful vacation. I have stayed at the Poly and loved it. I'm an Island kinda girl myself. Anyway, we will be staying at WL for the first time and can't wait. What was your favorite thing about the WL?

Lynne

Bump! For anyone who might of missed this post!

We returned on June 30th. It was 8 of the best days of my life. I can only repeat what so many have said about WL, breathtaking, amazing, like no other place I've seen. Every CM, mousekeeper and person we met were fantastic. Dinner at WCC was the best, I've never had so much fun.Kate you are my hero, and I can't thank you enough for all that you did. It was so much more than I expected (and after reading this board and several others I had HIGH expectations). I am trying to figure out a way to get back there before the holidays :confused3 , I can only imagine how beautiful it is. Honestly I can't imagine a more relaxing way to start my day than the boat ride to MK each morning.WL, simply the best.

I amso glad you had a wonderful time, Telly!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait to go back to WL next year. I am going to try to stay at the VWL, but if I can't get in there I am going to just stay in a regular room.
I was in a nice room it was a woodsview, but it was located right above the child care center.
I thought it was boring, but peacful. Next year I may try a courtyard view. I just hate having to walk far to get to the lobby.

When are you going back to Dinsey?

My favorite things about this place is the "beauty of nature" has to offer. I am not a camping kind of gal and I am more tropical gal, but this place is just breathaking!! I have always wanted to try camping (well.. I did but didn't like it much), but this is the best way to camp kind of, I mean for me. I like the outdorsy feeling, rugged feeling and the tranquility setting of this resort. Though I am coming from the northern state where there's lots of pine trees, there's just something special about this place, maybe cause it is in Disney. I think you will like this place too. Just keep the outdorsy-camping in mind and you will enjoy this place. If you are thinking of palm trees/coconut trees and hula and the island music, then you might find yourself dissapointed. Just have an open mind. Enjoy!!

I thought the same thing too. I thought woodsview was kind of boring. It was a view of tall (kind of dead) pine trees with a little pond. There was no action. I like action and I think I need to stick with courtyard view where I can see folks enjoying themselves and especially children having a blast. And I also like to enjoy the beauty of nature.

I think you can get a courtyard view that is not too far to the lobby, just ask the CM when you check in. I am heading back to Disney in August.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay.

I'm not a campin type of gal either. WL is the closest thing that we'll come to "roughin it." :rotfl:

We can't wait to go back to the WL this December.

Sounds like you had a nice trip, thanks for sharing. I visited WL in March and noticed alot of dead pine. I think the hurricanes did a number on them. We stayed there in '03 and everything looked lush then. I hope time will improve the grounds.

Thanks for posting and sharing your good thoughts on WL. I'm leaving in 3 weeks for my first stay at WL and I can't wait. Its exciting to hear such positive comments! :flower:

Thanks for the advice. I'm looking for a more of a mountain feeling, but if it doens't happen I won't be disappointed because I"M at DISNEY!!!

I'm on a mission to stay at every Disney resort. I do have my favorites right now and I hope WL goes on that list. If we enjoy the visit, we are thinking of going in Dec. and staying at WL. I would love to see the Christmas decorations!!

WL is the place to be during the Holiday!! I have stayed at WL during Christmas and it is....AWESOME!!! There is no other place I'd rather be but at WL. I get this warm feeling of joy and the Christmas spirit. I just love it there especially during Christmas. Enjoy! I think WL will be added to your favorite list.
