Had 40% pin found a 45% code for Villas

I got the 20/30/40 pin code a month ago and was happy with 40% off the villa but while looking at a weather site i noticed a small banner that had save up to 45% off deluxe Villa's among others catergories and rates.

I called to see if it could be applied and sure enough it could. Save us $262.40 after our $50.00 fee since we are within our 45 day window.

I also had a very nice and helpful CM on the phone so that helped too!

Don't mean to burst your bubble but your helpful CM charged you $50 too much. The 20/30/40 pin was a room ONLY pin so you should have had until 6 days before check in to cancel or modify, you should not have gotten charged the $50 change fee for 45 days out from the reservation, unless your orignal booking CM made it a package, which was not neccessary for that code.

The dates run thru Feb 11th. the promo is on the wdw site under special offers, click the save at least 30% offer and then at the top of the box select the tab on the far left for Deluxe Villas.

We have this applied to the room only portion of our package. We have the DxDP and Park Hopper tickets. from our confirmation email

Changes to Reservation - For a change made 44 days or less prior to guest arrival that results in a change in the package price, a change fee of $50 per package, plus any change fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers, will be charged. Disney reserves the right to restrict changes to any reservation. Such change fees must be paid in addition to any increase in the package price resulting from the change

So the CM was correct in the $50 charge.Had we increased the price of our package we would not have been charged the fee but since it decreased the package price we were charged it.

Congrats on your good find.

I, too, have heard they will waive the fee only if you increase your package/vacation amount. If you save money, they keep the fee on the bill.

Thank you for letting me know the dates. I did see that one. I was hoping you found a new one with a later date. Sad for me, but totally great for you.

Unless you got a different 20/30/40 pin from everyone else on the board (that was sent out at the same time) you should not have had a package, that pin is for room only.

Sorry to say this, but you've got the wrong info.

I've got the same pincode and it CAN be turned into a package. Of course you only get the % on the room, but can still turn it into a package and keep the discount part of the room. TO isn't an exemption, but simply booked what fitted their families wants and what is available under this pin.

Most room-only offers have a package upsell. Only time I have not found a package upsell was for the limited release pin for Dec 27-Jan 3.
