Hi

I've become addicted to Gymboree stuff..I've found some really cute pieces for Lily, but I'm too cheap to pay retail. :) I read somewhere they have a couple of big $7.99 sales during the year - does anyone know when to watch for them?

Thanks!

I subscribed to their email list and get notices of their upcoming sales. Try going to their site and signing up.

The Red Hot Dot Sales usually happen once a quarter. I think the next one is in December sometime.

On Nov 10-13th they are having their Circle of Friends sale, which is an additional 30% off everything in the store. If you sign up for their email list you will get an invitation email.

If you check out their website regularly they usually have some good stuff for less than $10. Often they replenish their supplies on Thursday night when they start their new sales.

Have fun shopping! I am a Gymbo addict myself :goodvibes

They just opened an outlet store in Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin. I don't know if the prices are any good.

I have a few Gymboree forum websites....like this one, if you would like me to pass them on, please PM me. :)

The previous poster is right the Friends of Gymboree is coming up for 30% off.
Now, what you need to do, is buy whatever is on sale WITH the 30% off. Now, diehard Gymboree people have a hard time doing this...lol. But, you can get outfits around $20.

BUT, here is the biggest thing......your clothing will keep MOST of its value (if you buy it on sale) when you sell it on ebay.
I almost clothe my kids for free this way. You have to take extra good care of them. Stain treat, ONLY hang dry, etc. But Gymboree is HUGE on ebay.

Congratulations on Lily - when do you get to bring her home?

I like to keep an eye on http://www.gymbohaven.com - they have previews of upcoming lines and sales. Also, you can often buy brand new Gymbo items on eBay for less than you'd buy them in the stores.

Wow, thanks for all the tips! She's my first and it's like a whole different world. ;) I signed up on the site.

tlbwriter - thanks! I'm hoping the end of January or February at the latest. Seems like forever away.

Gymbomom - I'll PM you for the forum info! Thanks!

I have spent several hundred dollars there in the last 3 months and I am waiting for the good sales. Been pretty pathetic lately.
I went over 4 months w/ out buying anything earlier in the year and was sweating before any lines came out I actually liked.
So w/ the Circle of Friends on Nov. 10th I am good to buy what I want the week before and they wil price adjust, or is there another exclusion they have added to the price adjust?

Good question - I would like to know the same! I have 3 nieces and a nephew to buy for. I was trying to wean off of their stuff (now that there are 4 of them!), but I was particularly appalled by what other places are selling for 3-year olds to wear. A little girl in a sequined shrug - are you KIDDING me? At least Gymboree's clothes look like they're for kids.

That is one of the main reasons I buy so much at Gymboree. They will occassionally have "tart" clothes but it is not the norm. Also their clothes last so well. They just are better quality than most other places.

Wait until they outgrow toddler sizes - it's even worse! If it weren't for Gymboree, Hanna Andersson, and Lands End, I'd have to learn how to sew! :earseek:

I used to be at PT assistant manager at Gymboree, and from what I remember we were not allowed to price adjust for the COF discount.

I have been trying my best not to shop there, as I could easily drop hundreds there in a month. That is one of the reasons that I quit.

. . . and one of the reasons I decided that I should never try to get a PT job there!

Congrats on your little one, happybratpack! We just adopted our foster daughter on 10/25. She loved her first trip to WDW. Start saving now...LOL!

I've been buying Gymboree on e-bay since our little one was 3 months old. If you like their stuff, you should also look up Janie and Jack (their upscale line). I'm too cheep to buy anything from them new, but I *love* their clothes.

This is me too, my girls wear pretty much nothing but. And I eBay is ALL the following season. I get almost as much if not more than what I paid for it. The Circle of Friends sale tends to be the best, even better than Gymbucks...unless they do the extra 20% off during Gymbucks, but that doesn't always happen.

And as for doing the whole hang dry, I just don't have time anymore, so don't bother and it doesn't hurt my sales AT ALL!
