Gymboree pants for boys...am I missing something?

Do I have the only boy who can't wear Gymboree pants? He's a little on the tall side and pretty thin. He needs a size 5 pants for the length, but the waist is waaayyy too big. I know they've added adjustable waistbands but I'd have to take them up so much they'd look funny. Am I missing something on the sizing here? I admit I don't shop there very much because I've never been able to fit him in the pants, but I've bought some tops there (that really look good with the "set" bottoms) but I can't buy the bottoms. Do they make a slimmer line or am I doing something wrong?

I'm searching Gap and online stores trying to find similar pants in slim sizes and it's a PITA .

we are in the same boat. My 9 yr old is tall and only weighs 51 lbs. It is horrible to try and find pants for him. Either the pants fall right off him, or he is wearing floods.

Gymboree and Gap are way too big for him. I have had luck with slims from Sears and drawstring pants(the nylon gym type) from Kohls. It is trully painful for me to find clothes for him. Let us know if you have any luck with a certain brand. I think I have bought them all at one point in time

I too have a slim boy.

I found some at JC Penny last year but sorry cannot remember brand.

He also did pretty good with the Old Navy Slim's.

I've had great luck with Old Navy Slim size for my youngest DS. Kohl's also has a brand called Sonoma (I think) and they have slim sizes for boys which are on sale this week. If you don't have a Kohl's in your area you can get them online.

Levi's has slims also. I just got some at Kohls. For girls, I found the best slims are at Limited Too (unfortunately they are costly).
