This is on my 10 year old DD's Now 19 CD. We jam to it all the time in the car. I don't think this version has the "s" word in it. I'm embarassed to say I had no clue what a hollaback girl was! Ya learn something new everyday!!

speaking of music of the 70s, I remember me and my friends, all around age 10, singing "spread your wings and let me come inside." lol. we had NO idea what that was about...although I remember we used to speculate. We never once figured out the real meaning, at least not until years later.

There's a funny parody version of this song being played on KTU in New York called 'I Want My Dollar Back, Girl' that's about someone fooled by a male prostitute. I was really surprised that the song included an unedited Spanish word for a male body part! Has anyone else heard this?

Yeah, I guess it was out there but it seemed that you had to have a certain level of sophistication to "get" it. When those songs were out, I was probably about 12 and I really thought that they were talking about "disco dances in the bushes or shrubs." Didn't figure out what a Johnson was until I was probably 20!

Now, I've been listening to some questionable music driving around and the kids have been in the car. Most recently we have been hearing (over and over again) the song "Sugar" by Ludacris. My son wants to know what what Lil Kim means by "lick my Tootsie Roll." He says "what does she mean by that Mom?" We've changed radio stations.
