Gutter guards: K-Guard, Leaf Filter, Leaf Guard, Rhino...

Has anyone had a gutter guard system installed? Which brand did you use and did it work?

We tried several diy ones from Lowes and they don't seem to work very good, so we want to have the professionals do it.

I was set to have Rhino Guard installed (they guaranteed the gutters would never clog) when a friend said while the gutters themselves don't clog, the mesh topper they put on top gets so covered with leaves the water rolls right off (stems from the leaves get caught in the little mesh holes). She regrets her choice.

K-Guard said their gutter wouldn't hold the volume of water running off our roof.

Can anyone offer advice? Thanks!

There are a few homes in our neighborhood that have had various gutter guards installed. Not a single one works the way the commercials made it look like they would work. Our neighbors said that theirs never worked well. For anything more than a drizzle, it is like they don't have gutters at all. I'm thinking we may be better off with something that cleans out the gutters from the ground, but I don't know what would reach up to the highest gutters on a two story home.
